Well, I posted a help topic to get some ideas and Tonia (smileyface) gave me a wonderful idea but I didn't get the instructions in time. Anyway, this was a church preschool class cake. I couldn't decide on how I wanted to do this. It ended up okay I guess. You can make out the large marshmallows with lollipop sticks in them in this picture. I had to use those because I grabbed the wrong size cake box!! It took me about 30 minutes just to get this covered without getting the piping gel all messed up.

This is a fun cake that I did for my mom who was dreading the big 5-0. I knew I didn't want to do a black Over the Hill cake so this is what I came up with. It is a choclate and white cake. Buttercream icing and fondant letters and numbers. She loved it.

I made this in my Wilton's class... The entire class had terrible trouble with our royal icing and all our color flow died a very sad death... But I came home and made the beautiful butterfly then dropped my royal flowers and my color flow butterfly on the flower it was rather sad... But my teacher assisted and the basket weave is perfect...

My daughter and I made this one together. She did the motorcycle out of color flow since her boyfriend ride them and she molded the helmet out of gumpaste. It was a yellow cake with cream filling and we covered it in marshmallow fondant.

Just got my new WBH book so I decided to try and replicate the Whimsical cake in there. Woah, there's a LOT of colours in this thing!! So this is my first WBH cake, first stacked cake, first big cake, first "public" cake (ie not for family). Hope it tastes good...
WBH coffee-chocolate flavour, with crushed Oreo & whipped cream filling. Surprisingly not overly sweet. I hope the flavour of the cake/filling can combat the taste of the Wilton gel colour which is present in the icing.

A simple birthday cake for a sweet little boy in my daughter's playgroup. Thomas and letters are colorflow, everything else is buttercream. I'll never buy Wilton's red again after using the Americolor red!

This was just a fun cake for a friend. His 13 year old daughter was celebrating her 1/2 birthday. I decided to do a 1/2 cake. I froze it and then cut off a hunk of it. I didn't want the cut side of the cake to dry out so I used choc. BC and iced the flat side and then used crushed Oreo's to simulate the cake's texture. To continue along with the 1/2 b-day theme, the actual cake is layered 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate. I was excited to figure out how to make the cut side of the cake look realistic.

This was a cake made for a lady who makes primitive quilts. She works at the Gooseberry Patch - I didn't realize how well it matched one of their books until my daughter went and got it and set it by the cake! 9X13 Chocolate cake w/ buttercream - different tips for different areas - added some texture.

I did this one yesterday morning (Sunday)...had a hard time trying to figure out what I was going to do. I was out of ideas but I did have my four colors made up and just decided to wing it. The plane was traced on by punching holes in the picture and placing it on the cake. I then dusted cocoa powder over the holes to get the outline to show up clearly. Love the bright colors but not the overall design. Turned out to be the best tasting cake I've made to date, though!

This was my first project with fondant and I had a blast. The bear is made out of fondant and then painted with frosting tint colors. The blanket and pillow are also made from fondant. It is a lemon cake with lemon cream cheese filling and BC frosting.

I made this cake for a friend of mine that I work with. It's a 12 inch cake and my first attempt at something of substantial size with color flow. The daisys were a little difficult because my hands got hot working with so much royal icing. They were very pleased.

12" & 6" round b/c with fondant ribbon roses and number 4. Color Flow cats. Once again the black did not dry enough and the color bled. :( Out of six of them these two were the best plus the other ones broke. grrr. So tip for color flow.....do outlines in advance and allow plenty of time to dry...days not hours before filling in.

I did this cake for my mother-in-law for her birthday. The cake was a pineapple cake mix that I added a can of crushed pineapple and some coconut to. My husband suggested that I use my Flower Power pan and decorate it with all of the kids and grandkids favorite colors on each petal. Then I wrote the names of each person coming out of the center of the cake on the petals. We put her name right in the middle, along with her age. I thougth about doing one like this for Mother's Day too for my mom.

Choc. cake, choc. frosting, choc. caramel kisses, and colored choc. tiles. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he said chocolate. When I gave it to him(along w/ milk) he said he will probably die of chocolate. LOL!
