This is a white cake filled with peanut butter oreo's and cream covered in butter cream. The girl is MMF with edible pearls on her sling back pumps and a sweet little ribbon (real) on her wrist. First time with my air brush, I cut out a stincil using the coach decal and air brushed it on. I'll need more practice. The cake is about 6 1/2 in. tall, 6 in. round. This was for my little sis' 25th B-day.

This cake was baked in a Pyrex bowl and covered in MMF. I airbrushed the fondant with pearl dust and added the lines in ivory. The wheels and accents are all in gumpaste. I didn't know how to get the gumpaste to roll out properly as I have seen on this site in other pics (letters made of gumpaste). I couldn't get a long enough piece. Any ideas would be welcome. One wheel broke beyond repair. I would probably use an edible image to do the door next time instead of painting it on.

I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. The base is covered in BC, and the coach and dress are covered in fondant. The wheels of the coach are royal icing.

I did this cake for my daughter's teacher. The cake is iced in buttercream with some fondant accents. The stage coach and horse were made out of fondant and dusted with cocoa powder. I used a brush dipped in water to give it some definition and make it look more like wooden slats. The flowers came from my yard. Thanks for looking!

Made for local high school coach's retirement. All BC - NO FBCT - never heard of it when made this cake, just outlined the objects and filled in with BC. Cake was chocolate.

Buttercream icing and fondant accents. I let the fondant pieces dry on a cookie sheet before adding them to the cake, but that was a mistake. I should have made the fondant pieces and added them right away. I used a cobblestone texture mat to make the crocodile texture in the buttercream. I dipped the impression mat in watered down brown food color before pressing it onto the cake. That really added to the texture, I think. Crumpled parchment rolled over fondant makes a great leather texture.

Made this for my sister's boss' birthday. it's fondant with thinned pink RI stencilled "C's". Great story for this.i had covered it in the fondant and then went out for a bit, when i came home, there was a big bite taken out of the corner! i was accusing all 4 children.all of which said they didnt do it and i was ready to ground ALL of them.then i looked very closely at the cake..FOOTPRINTS! Squirrel ones! a squirrel had come in through the side of the A/C, ate my cake, and ran away!! i tossed it. :)

This is the cake that I made for my daughter's 4th birthday party. She had a tea party with only about 11 kids so it didn't have to be that big. I used the ball pan, covered in fondant, fondant for wheels also. I made this in the middle of a slumber party with 9 kids, I'm surpised it came out so well, I could have done a lot more detail just ran out of time. I should also say it was inspired by some other cakes on cc.

Mini Coach Purse
Feb 3, 2007
All fondant, the C's were painted on using a home-made stencil and powder color mixed with clear vanilla. Those C's are difficult! They're such an odd shape. It took me forever trying to figure out how to do them before I finally made a decent stencil.

My 2nd attempt at a purse cake. As usual, I ran out of time to do everything I wanted to do to it, so I had to improvise, but I think it still came out pretty good. Covered in fondant with all fondant accents, even the zipper & zipper pull.

I made stencils of the Coach logo and then airbrushed with gold. The straps are MMF and the buckle is gumpaste with super gold luster dust. Now as I look at it, I see one of my top sides is so crooked!!! Oh well, the guy loved it and it was for his sister's 40th bday.

I made this cake for a girl that was turning 15. She wanted her mother to buy her a coach purse and give her a credit card so the mother thought this was the perfect cake as she wasn't getting the real purse or credit card. Cake was chocolate with strawberry filling.

Cake is covered with white chocolate clay tinted with some semi-sweet chocolate to create the cream color. "C"s are hand painted using luster dust. Blue leather accents are made from fondant/gumpaste, spray with pearl dust. This cake is made to look like the real bag that we give for a friend as a parted gift.

I've wanted to try making a purse cake for the longest time and I finally got my chance! I threw a baby shower for my friend who happens to love Coach! I made a regular sheet cake and just carved it, iced it with buttercream and topped with MMF. Everything is edible. I wish it looked a bit more even but it was definitely a lot of fun to make!

This is my first attempt at doing a purse cake, and boy did i learn a lot from it! It was one of my first attempts at using MMF as well as painting on a cake. All in all i don't think it was a horrid turnout. Thanks for looking

This is a birthday present for someone who previous received a LV purse. Her parents sure know what she likes. I airbrushed the C's onto the cake tht was covered in yellow fondant. Found the photo off the Coach website but in green. Made a few minor adjustments.

A lot of work went into this monster - 6 layer vanilla cake with strawberry Italian meringue buttercream filling. Fondant covering with stensil C's. The C's were made with magenta, fuscia, turquoise, tangerine and lime petal dust. All hot pink and camel "leather" accents were fondant, rings were gumpaste, beaded chain ware royal. Gold luster dust painted on chain and rings. Fondant covered board also had C's painted on. Gumpaste flowers on board (made those too!) Enjoy!
