I made this cake for my sister-in-law who is expecting my newphew in 4 days! It's a white cake covered in mmf with buttercream clouds. The baby, blanket, teddy bear, stars and moon are made of chocolate clay (my new favorite accent!)

This is as far as I got with my cake last night in class. I had a little trouble with my thinned icing so I didn't do any writting on the cake!

This is my third FBCT, and I'm getting better at it! I put a backing on this one the same color as the cake frosting, but couldn't get the edges smoothed out. So I ended up covering the edges of the transfer with cloud bubbles. I wish I had made the clouds differently, as well - but it's a learning experience! It's too heavy on the clouds, but I'm sure that the birthday girl will LOVE it anyway!
So I've learned my lesson about FBCT - don't put a backing on it!

The mother-to-be ordered her own baby shower cake and was very specific (over the phone) of what she wanted. This is what I came up with and she was thrilled! It was 3 tiers (12" chocolate, 10" & 6" yellow cake), covered in deep blue buttercream and accented with buttercream clouds, gumpaste stars, moon & plaque and a handmade MMF baby. This is my new favorite cake. :0)

This was for a little boys birthday. I was asked to make a cake incorporating the scene from the favor bag pictured, so I copied the bag. The cake is a buttermilk devil's food cake with crusting buttercream (faux fondant II) icing. The name and animals are frozen buttercream transfers. The hedge is a thin layer of cake I made from a mini loaf pan to give a raised effect. It is piped with a leaf tip. Thanks for looking.

Ok, This is the Cake that I came up with for the Childrens Valentine Banquet at our Church. The Bottom layer is a 12 inch Round German Chocolate, and the Top was baked in the WonderMold Pan (FR Vanilla). All done in Vanilla Buttercream with Swirly/Floaty Designs and Conversation Hearts..... The Curling ribbons were Bought as Well as the CUPID topper... Turned out Really Cute and everyone loved it Especially our little princesses!

My first attempt at an airbrush rainbow. I followed the technique in the book but it didn't come out exactly right. The clouds were fun to make though.

Cake dorated with fondant accents. Has 4 Thomas characters around the side of cake. The Thomas train on the tracks was a toy. The design was inspired by cakes done by boween and mommyof5kidz. Thanks for the great cakes!

this was a cake for a friend who left the theme up to me. I found this saying and loved it so I decorated the cake around it. If you can't see the star with the saying it says "babies are little pieces of heaven". The baby, moon, and stars are all fondant. The large cloud is a white cake with mixed berry filling and the smaller clouds are chocolate raspberry cupcakes. I put all of the stars in a ziploc bag with disco dust to give them a shine. You can't see it too much here. Thanks for looking!

decorations are fondant, candy clay and cotton candy. I sprinkled sparkle dust (cake central brand of course) and it really make the clouds shine! I wish photos did our cakes justice. I need to take food photography classes!
