This was for an adoption party for a 4yo little girl. She is a big Dora fan, and when I found this little Dora doll holding the 'Wish' star, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the design. You can't see it very well in the photos, but the white border is real fluffy like clouds. Fondant stars, airbrushed swirls, the rest is BC.

FBCT of Rainbow Dash. I do not like Wilton Royal Blue color. It doesn't mix well and always leaves blue dots. But, for this cake it had a nice effect. 1/2 sheet cake, all buttercream, half yellow, half chocolate.

All edible. Yellow cake iced in blue BC, sprinkled with edible glitter. Clouds are white BC dusted with pearl luster dust. Moon and stars are rolled fondant painted with gold dust. Baby, blanket and pillow are rolled fondant, some pieces painted with pearl luster. Thanks for looking!

This is now my most favorite cake of mine! The bottom and top tiers are pink gingham, with fondant hanging stars and fondant booties. The booties were a big hit at the shower. I wrote the date, 7-30-06, on the side of one of the booties. Also white clouds and a sleeping baby on top. Oh, and the verse around the middle cake matched the invititations, "Tiny Yawns & Sleepy Sighs....Nursery Rhymes & Lullabies...."

I've only been doing this for a few months. This was my first time sculpting with fondant. I thought it would be hard to sculpt a baby, but it was the easiest thing about the cake. Thank you Misdawn...it was her cake that inspired me to make this one even though I got a little carried away with the clouds! Everyone at the baby shower loved it. I used BC on the cake and Royal Icing stars. Thanks everyone for all your beautiful cakes that continously inspire me to keep creating!!!

My 3 year old niece insisted on a Rainbow Dash "My Little Pony" birthday cake, so I used the Care Bears cake from the Wilton 2006 Yearbook and adapted it to Ponies! The cake is covered in MMF with a MMF rainbow (rolled into "snakes" and "glued" with royal icing), stars, hearts, and sunshine. The clouds are royal icing to give everything a little more support.
My niece couldn't take her eyes off the cake once she saw it!! And I do have to admit, this is my absolute favorite cake I have done yet!

This is a cake for a pilot, chocolate cake w/chocolate buttercream. Top of cake is a piece of fondant - I mixed the sky blue and white to make "clouds" in the fondant, and then I used white buttercream to make 3-D clouds as well. The plane is a blown glass Christmas ornament from Hobby Lobby.

This a cake I made for a lady at work who loves horses. I was inspired by a cake made by amandasweetcakes. The lady liked the cake so much that she told me that she didn't want to have to cut her pretty cake.

This is a carrot cake with bc icing. I followed the directions that you can get on the Wilton website. The cross pan was used for the airplane. The recipient was thrilled with it!

This is just the top tier of the Summer Daze whimsy cake in the WBH book. I did it for a girl scout fundraiser auction and they told me when I dropped it off they were going to put it in the call out auction rather than the silent acution so that made me feel good. Plus the council leader asked me if I would make a cake for a troop sometime and I said of course. : ) Chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and italian meringue buttercream. Chocolate runouts.

Color spary clouds and chocolate covered sugar cones make up this vestive company birthday cake. I entered this in a company contest. Took first on the local level, but didn't place nation wide. Better luck next year.

Jasmine and the carpet are sculpted from a mixture of gumpaste and fondant. The cake was the 3D duck pan with part of the head chopped off. It is covered in buttercream to make it look like she is in the clouds. I made this for the same girl that I sculpted the Dora for. I wonder what I will get to sculpt next year.

8" and 6" layers, and a 3" smash cake for a first birthday. Covered in fondant, all decorations are fondant and fondant/gumpaste mix. The rays of the sun are fondant/gumpaste stuck on with gumpaste and royal icing. The clouds are royal icing, as is the writing on the plaque. I had a lot of fun with this one! Inspiration came from several different cakes on this site! If you have made a cake with bugs or a sun, thank you!

I made this cake for my sisters 21st cake. She had a good and evil theme. Everyone at the party loved it! The middle looked a little lumpy cos my 1 year old daughter stabbed it with scissors after I had iced it so I had to put more over the top to cover. It wasn't as smooth after that!! I could have killed her!!!

This was supposed to look like the Wilton cake from the 2006 yearbook. This was my first attempt at fondant and the rainbow that was supposed to connect the cakes broke so I made clouds out of buttercream and sat care bear figures on it. The hearts, stars, and sunshine are MMF. The letters for Happy Birthday are cut out MMF. It was stressful but fun.

This cake was a last minute order and I had a hard time with the design which I am not happy with, and with the fondant drying. I only had two days and when I went to assemble the airplane some of the pieces were not dry enough. I spent so much time trying to get the plane to stay together that it was to late to do much with the rest of the cake.Oh well. Hopefully I will learn tell people no when there isn't enough time but I doubt it. I always tell people I can do it and then figure out how later.

This is a cake I did for the opening of the sleep center at the local hospital. I thought it would make a cute baby shower cake, though.

This was for my niece's first birthday. All of the blue and white icing is BC. The yellow icing is a sugar free icing made with pudding. The rainbow slide is fondant on top of posterboard. The stars are just some star sprinkles. This was a blast to create! So much fun!

This is the cake I made for a breast cancer survivor at work. I was really disappointed that the frosting cracked. Fortunately, she didn't notice or care. She was happy and surprised when she got to work and saw it. Thanks to everyone who helped me brainstorm for this cake.

This cake was made for a co-worker who was leaving the water department to work at the fire department. The base colors were Wilton Color Mist. She loved the cake, and especially loved that she got to keep the fire trucks!!

This is the last cake I made before leaving Italy. All of my tools were on their way to the states so this is all hand work and zip lock bags. I still like the way it turned out. The blue plane even has a Z on each wing. Zak was the birthday boy. He is obsessed with planes.

I created this cake using the mini bear and just added the bottle and pins for detail. I got the idea of the babies on the clouds from the Wilton Yearbook '95. Then added the wording, "A baby brings a little bit of heaven". I'm adding more pictures to provide a closeup of the baby bear and the babies on the cloud.
