My sister made this cake for my 31st birthday. All the decoration was buttercream. The cake was white with a decadent coconut filling. My favorite flower is tulips so she tried to make them using a version of the Wilton sweet pea. The back ground was sky and on top she made fluffy white clouds.

This was for my godchild and niece. The invitation was her picture as an angel. Not happy with how the face turned out but I love the overall effect. This was the first time I created my own stencil and the first time I airbrushed on fondant. The board is covered with thinned royal icing.

This was for a friend's baby's 1st Birthday. I had a royal icing banner with his name made to sit on the front bottom tier but it broke into three pieces because it fell over and off the table to the floor. Jay Jay's wing broke off as well...used white royal to patch him up because I was in a hurry (which you can see very clearly!).

My first time to work with MMF and I love it! So much easier than reg fondant and such fun. Tastes better too. Moon, stars and little baby are MMF, the rest is BC.

So, I thinned out my icing and these look better to me. The cloud ones were my sons idea and the roses on two of them are starburst roses. I love making those. TASTY!

This was a cake done for two little girls. It was a copy of a cake done on this site by a woman doing a Barbie and pegasus cake. I bought the Barbie and Pegasus dolls to put on this cake but didn't do it until the day of the party. I took the pics the night before. Cake was pretty easy. 11 x 15" 2 layer white cake. Served 35 2 x 2" slices or 25 2 x 3" slices.

Chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling, iced in BC. I was experimenting with different types of medium, so the decorations are made in candy clay, MMF, and fondant. I am pleased with this one I think.

This cake was done for the local Head Start Program. They are having a ball for the kids and the director of the center asked me to decorate a cake to match the ball decorations. I'm not too pleased with the silver stars but overall I thought it looked o.k. for a last minute cake.

I made this for a crawfish boil - it is a vanilla Dream Cake with Whimsical Bakehouse icing. The sun is chocolate transfer. It was a big hit. The star border is a bit unimaginative, but I was short on time. Square cake are much hard to ice than round ones!! I did not know that!! I think I will stick to the crusting buttercream from now on. It is so much easier to work with.

This was a 10" round bottom, with the "doll dress" cake on top, but I cut it down to a diameter of 8", and rounded-off the top. I put it on a board & off-set it, so part of it was off the back of the 10" cake, to give more room for "ocean & waves". This was a really fun cake, thanks for looking!

This is an 11"x15" marble cake with buttercream frosting, covered in MMF. I made all decorations out of MMF. Little Lizzy Joe likes the Care Bears but her Mommy doesn't. So, she asked me to make something in between teddy bears and Care Bears. So here it is! LOL

Cake for my daughter's 5th b'day. Combo of Disney princess and Magic of Pegasus castle in clouds:) Fondant covered/decorated castle sits on fondant covered blossom shaped cake. Used cotton candy for clouds and, this time, used melted chocolate instead of fondant to cover ice cream cone turrets, which was MUCH easier. Bought princesses and unicorns to put around castle. Didn't get very good pics unfortunately:(

customer just said she wanted butterflies and bright cheery colors, so this is what I came up with. It is two, twolayer 6 inch chocolate cakes filled with white chocolate BC covered in vanilla BC then covered in 1/2 white chocolate candy clay 1/2 fondant mixture. The sunshine is a sugar mold base with white chocolate rays connected with royal icing. Clouds are royal icing as well. This was a FUN cake.
