We had a lot of fun making and designing this cake. We looked at a lot of pictures here on CC to get inspiration for our clothesline! We also used the invitation as a guideline to our design!

I made this for a friend's baby shower. Iced in BC...fondant used for the actual clothes on the line. Sandals are gumpaste and I used the template by CakeDesigns in the Templates section. Thank you!!! I love it...it worked so well. I painted them with a pearl luster dust. Flowers are gumpaste and I don't know if they are a "real" flower or what...I just kind of made them LOL Cakes are 6" & 8".

Thanks to all those who've posted 'clothesline cakes' I took inspiration from many of you. I consider myself a beginner so I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. I put the soccer border on because the baby's dad is a soccer nut! TFL

I have seen this cake several times on CC and spent about 2 hours(back in Feb.) looking through the baby shower gallery for one specific cake that had a a stand-up line on top. I never did find it but if it is you THANKS!! I also had posted a thread back in Feb. asking for help with fixing this cake. The thread is gone so I don't know who to thank! I am so sorry. I always try to keep track of that because I am so truly appreciative! I tried to make a bear like Aine2. This is a 10" and 8" dummy.

This is another clothesline cake inspired by the many I've seen here.
It's lemon with raspberry filling and lemon buttercream. Decorations

This cake was inspired by a Rebecca Sutterby shower cake. Hers was more for a unisex shower and did not have the middle tier or plaque. This was a fun cake for me because it was my first time covering a cake in fondant and making a bow. It took quite awhile to get it right, but I was very please with the results. The cake was yellow with vanilla SMBC. Thanks for looking!

My first baby shower cake. There were so many great ideas on CC, I printed off a clothesline cake to get ideas, and now I can't find it again to give credit! The sheep was inspired by Merissa. It's made of gumpaste & RI. The lady having the baby and her husband are farmers, thus the sheep & bale of hay.

When I saw Amylou’s contest cake in the gallery I immediately saved it to my fav’s and have been begging expectant mothers to let me recreate it for their showers for forever now. I had to wait until I had my own to make it though. Thanks to Amylou for the inspiration for my cake. Her cake is way better than mine but I tried.

Full sheet cake iced in buttercream. I love all the clothesline cakes on here and have been just dying to do one and I finally got the chance. They wanted a cake with "It's a Boy" written on it and didn't care what else the decoration was. So while it wasn't the typical "Oh Boy" I still was able to make it work!

This was made for a male coworker who's having a baby girl in a few weeks. 12 and 9 inch WVSC cakes, filled with fudge and caramel, covered in fondant. I had a lot of fun with this one! Teddies hanging wash, peeking behind blankets, and playing with balls. Fondant basket with sleeping teddy inside.

I made this cake for a friend who decorated her nursery with Dr. Seuss and wanted her shower the same. The picture is a bit difficult to make out because it was at a church kitchen and the lighting was horrible. It is "Thing 1&2" sitting on top of "Yertle the Turtle" who is sleeping on a pillow with his teddy bear. Next down is a book cake "The Foot Book" which is sitting on top of a 10" hexagon with a clotheline scene including "Cat in the Hat" hats and "Lorax" trees. This one was lots of fun to make!

I got another order for one of those adorable clothesline cakes only this customer wanted some yellow ducks incorporated and when I was delivering it to the party store (they get me orders and the customers pick them up there) I realized I had forgotten to add any ducks, so we grabbed some little duck cupcake picks they had for sale and broke off the pick part and laid them on the cake lol how cheesy.......oh well........TFL
