this cake was 4 cake deep and made for the local school fete in a competition of guess how long it took me to make it.....
We had a circus come in so that was how i came up with this cake to tie in with the circus theme..the colours tied in with the acutal circus tent we had in the feil and the balloon agian all tied in as we had big balloons being sold around the fair....made a Jojo so it would appeal to the children aswell.

My son's 2nd birthday, he loved trains and asked for a train cake, but we had already hired a clown, so this was the best of both worlds, a circus train

This was my first tiered cake - my sister had a circus party for my niece and wanted a carousel. I learned ALOT from my mistakes on this cake! I am really proud how it turned out. My sister loved it but more importantly so did my niece - all she could think about was pulling one of the cones off the top to eat! Thanks for looking!

A circus tent for a local bank doing a marketing promotion with a circus theme. The cake is 2-layer 8" rounds with the Wilton doll cake shape on top. Mostly buttercream with exception to the blue stars and flag on top, which are fondant.

My daughter's 3rd b-day cake. Wanted to do a cake like dolittle's JoJo cake, but mine did not come out good (sorry, no pic) and decided to do a JoJo castle. I saw a lot of ideas on here on castle cakes (with ice-cream cones) and liked cambo's. Hope everyone likes it! Comments/ suggestions would be appreciated!

Client wanted me to build a big top for her. She had a cup to use as a example. She also had purchased all the little characters which she wanted to put beside it. I didn't get a pic of the baby's cake. But it was a mini tent in pink and purple. She was soooo thrilled with the outcome!!! All white cake with buttercream and fondant accents. Big top is 9"/8" double layer with wonder mold top covered in fondant.

am quite proud of this one. the circus tent was 2-layered 6", bottom tier is 10". although the cookies weren't that great-looking they were good enough for me since it was my very first attempt at cookies and color-flow. i drew the circus figures on cardboard, cut it out and used them as my pattern since i didn't have cookie cutters for an elephant, lion, ball balancing seal, horse with headdress, ring master, ballerina, clown, and trapeze artist.

My daughter's preschool put on a circus based on this book so we made a cake to add to the celebration. It is a chocolate fudge cake with cookies and cream filling and buttercream and has chocolate Olivias attached with royal icing. The circus tent is pretzels sticks with ribbon attached with royal icing. This is my first upload here -- I love this website and have gotten lots of inspiration from you all -- thanks!

Okay, as promised, here is the *finished* cake. there will still be borders between the layers, I just don't do that until I get it on site. It is fondant, gumpaste and buttercream. This one was too much fun I think.

This was a cake from my first Wilton course...yep, those famous lil' clowns! I just did something a little different to make this for a baby shower. I created and printed from computer, little flags with the letter "J" on them attached to non edible string and toothpicks. One flag with "Baby Juan" is on top of circus tent. Circus tent is an iced cupcake. They are just hanging around waiting for baby Juan to arrive!

I did this cake for my daughter's 3rd bday, I was so burnt out on trying to get the whole party organized that I resorted to a small cake with cupcakes which a great friend of mine took on the job of the cupcakes Whoa! always nice to have friends like that!

This is my biggest endeavor to date! It was my son's 4th birthday cake. I found this idea on Wilton's website. It turned out a little lopsided, but that was ok by me! I was able to make three different flavors of cake to suit everyone's taste. Our guests loved it.

This was for a little girl, they wanted pinks and purples. Figures and flags are fondant. This was a lot of fun to make and I was happy with the results. So was the mother!! The idea is a conglomeration if several cakes I found online and in here. Thanks to all!

This little guy was fun to make and a lot easier than I thought it would be. I loosely followed the directions from Kate Sullivan book. He was for the top of a ball cake for a circus themed cake (another idea from Kate) that I will post later. I actually think he came out better than the whole darn cake! Oh well...I'll keep trying!!!
