I made this cake for my sister in law, whom everybody calls chocolate. I was looking for somethin special so I cut a giant Hersey kiss in half and placed in the middle of the cake and used regular ones for the border.

This is my own personal recipe I call "Chocolate Explosion Cake." 6 different types of chocolate are used in the creation of this cake: Semi-sweet chips in the cake, chocolate milk, chocolate pudding mix, devils food cake mix, Hershey's chocolate syrup in the buttercream, Ganache. In addition I use sour cream and butter. It's a very heavenly-sinful cake.

This was done by my 8 year old son for a chocolate art contest. He won best in show out of a dozen entries! He made SB in parts (eyes, hat, mouth, etc) and put the parts onto the sponge part to make it look 3-D.

This was made for a friend that another friend had played a practical joke on - hanging these on his truck. This friend had requested that I make him a hot milk cake ~ which I did ~ he didn't specify what to decorate it with. I used a chocolate transfer and whipped icing with chocolate rocks. It was a hit!

This cake was made for my aunt's 46th birthday. The cakes are chocolate with whipped cream filling and covered in whipped cream. I airbrushed them and then put final decorations on by piping more whipped cream. The happy birthday tag is made of gumpaste and then the words are hand painted with food dye gel. These cakes are supposed to lot sort of like a stack of presents. It was fun to do.

My first tiered cake. Push in pillars made that very easy! Chocolate Explosion Cake with whipped ganache filling (YUMMY!) and chocolate fudge frosting. Royal icing roses. Scroll work on the sides (first time doing that, too). I was trial running this flavor combo. for our future wedding cake, so decided to post it here. I learned a lot on this cake! Chocolate frosting warms up and thins out a lot in the bag as you decorate with it. Glad it turned out OK. Tastes good!

Single layer bride's white cake, iced with a mix of cali4dawn's buttercream recipe and white chocolate buttercream frosting. My son helped with the pouring of ingredients into the mixer on this one, so becuz of this he calls it his cake. I can't wait to see how he will react when he sees how it was decorated. First time ever making strawberry tuxedos. The writing is made out of melted chocolate- cut the tip of the disposable bag too big so the writing is not as clean as I would like it 2 be, but it works

The bride chose a very soft pink and a chocolate brown for each tier. I went to an amazing chocolate store in my neighbourhood for the curls...why sweat the details I'm not good at?!

This was yesterday's wedding cupcakes. They had a blend of Dark Chocolate and Tahitian Vanilla in gold foil papers. The top cake was for cutting and it was both Dark Chocolate and Vanilla layers inside.

The customer wanted an all purpose cake to serve for the birtday & anniversary get together she was having for this month. She didn't care what I did so long as all that writing was on the cake. I really didn't want to do a generic cake with all writing so this is what I came up with. The customer was absolutely amazed and was thrilled with it.
I had originally made the bow in fondant but since it wasn't dry enough t hold it's shape I resorted to the chocolate. And let me tell you it was so much better.

This cake was done in March of '05. This is why I decided to start taking classes. I opened up my big mouth and told my best friend that I would take care of the Groom's cake for her wedding. I had no clue how to decorate cakes, just opened my mouth before I realized it! It turned out so pretty that I had to learn more and see where it will take me. So far, since this cake, I've only made maybe 6 cakes (that includes the Course I Beginner's final class cake and the Course II final cake).

My futur brother-in-law asked me to make a cake to look like the Death Star from Star Wars for his grooms cake. This is my first practice attempt at making this cake. Using the Sports Ball cake pan for the shape, I made a chocolate strawberry cake and flavored the icing strawberry as well.

Cake designed for a co-workers sister. When asked what her sister liked, she said "Sleeping"! So I figured why not replicate her in bed. All items were made of fondant, including rug and lamp. Decadent chocolate cake filled with hazelnut buttercream filling sealed with rolled chocolate fondant.

These are chocolate cupcakes, with chocolate frosting. I shredded cookers chocolate and dipped the frosted cupcakes in it for a "truffle" looking effect. I then covered strawberries in chocolate and placed them on top. People thought they'd taste fancy, but once they did taste them they said..."oh it tastes like like a regualar cupcake." Very funny.
