I copied this off the cake in Good Housekeeping magazine but changed the bunny to two daffodil flowers. It was fun making it. I loved that I had to buy a bag of M&M's for the project and eat the rest that weren't green. :-)

This cake was made for someone who hates carrot cake! It was chocolate with chocolate bc under mmf. I don't ask questions when I'm getting paid to make it!

This is a cake I made yesterday after receiving last minute notice that we were having dinner guests. It is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and I decided to dress it up a little with MMF bunny and leaves.

My version of a turkey dinner. View of all sides. Turkey frosted in buttercream. Drumsticks and wings made from mini loaf pan and tips of sugar cones. Baby carrots, corn and peas piped in buttercream. Stuffing made from crumbled cake cut into squares.

Thanks to gingoreilly and MrsMissey for inspiring this cake.

Everything on and in this cake is from scratch.

Lesson learned after making my first carrot cake...
Get the manicure AFTER you grade up the carrots!! (Boy did I waist $20...)

Just practicing. Carrot cake with Cream Custard and Carmalized Pecan filling. Cake iced with cream cheese frosting and piped with stiff cream cheese/buttercream combo. Roses were a bit soft but I was still able to shape them. Tasted delicious if I say so myself.

Carrot cake with lemon cream cheese filling, with my cream cheese icing. For the borders, I used the "crusting cream cheese icing" recipe from this site with 1/2 tsp meringue powder added, and was very happy with the results.

Here is my version, I just finished Wilton I and wante drose practice. Well I got it! The cream cheese icing was hard to work with b/c it was either to hot or too cold, but I think I got a lot of good practice. The cake is cake with the cake extender. i was too tired to do the sides like wilton did so i jsut did the

My first time using Wilton tips, I loved the result of my carrots. It was real simple and everyone thought I had bought at the store. What a great feeling.

These are one of my proposals for a cupcake wedding cake. They wanted chocolate with carrots and vanilla with peas. "They go together like peas and carrots!" is what I was told. They will be presented in vegetable crates for an outside, bluegrass reception. They are white cake with buttercream and Satin Ice fondant and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and dark chocolate Satin Ice fondant.

This is another option for the peas and carrots theme reception. chocolate and vanilla cupcakes topped with chocolate buttercream and buttercream and a round of Dark Chocolate Satin Ice or Satin Ice fondant. Topped with the same purchased butter cookies.

This is just the cupcakes with buttercream and the cookies on the side. I didn't want the cookies to get soggy from the buttercream.

This cake was done for my daughters 25th birthday. All icing is butter rum. The cake was carrot cake. Tinkerbell, was drawn on rice paper with edible marker and then filled in with Wilton Decorating gel. Very good and easy technique. It wasn't my original plan but, I was very satisfied with the end result. I also have to add, this cake was done in 3hrs 20 minutes. (From baking the cakes to the last decoration.

This was just a cake for a dinner party. It's carrot cake with pecan cream cheese icing (that's why there are brown pieces in the icing). I do a lot of henna, and like doing this flower, so I thought it would look cute on the cake. I love pink and green. It was a hit, and looked great on the table.

I made these to take to Easter at my grandmother's. Come dessert time, she wouldn't let the kids eat them. She said they looked too pretty and she didn't want to see them "destroyed." She made the poor kids wait until it was time to go and then she passed them out. (Although a few kids snuck into them, hehe.) I used antonia74's icing recipe. To some of the colors, I added Lorann Oils orange extract.

This is an all around first for me. This is my first Carrot Cake, my first fondant 3-D figures, my first time working with gumpaste and my first themed cake. The little sign is gum paste and says "Do Not Feed Bunnies". The 3-D bunnies are made out of fondant. One bunny is going in it's rabbit hole and another is coming out of his rabbit hole. I hope y'all like it.

This is a No Special Reason Cake! I just felt like playing around. Mistakenly I did the rosettes before putting on the Walnuts on the side. So I had to place each individual walnut by hand so I wouldn't get crumbs on the rosettes. :) Thanks for looking.

This was the first fondant figure I've ever made. I dusted him with luster dust for some color, except his eyes, which I just painted the tiniest pieces fondant with black coloring gel. Everthing else was made with buttercream, including the veggies (I'm sure you can tell). If I would have had more time, I would have given him a fondant fence, but I felt I was too new at it to really "go for it"... maybe I should have =) Thanks for looking!

Never having used cream cheese icing this grooms cake was an adventure. Carrot Cake requres it. Would you believe I decorated this cake in my refrigerator. Thankfully I have a side by side with pull out shelves. It took me forever before I came upon doing it there.

I made this for my office's March celebration. I tried to go with an Easter theme that wasn't too Eastery. This is crusing cream cheese icing and carrot cake. The little carrots are hard candy pieces.
