My 6years old grandson designed this cake for his birthday. He wanted a Blues Clues one but his father opposed it and asked him to choose another item. He chose and designed this one.

for the retirement party of a vw repairman. I used the Wilton VW bug pan, but didn't want to use an outer buttercream icing. I cut the cake in half, filled it with a thin layer of buttercream, masked it in buttercream, froze it solid for 4 hours and then easily moulded it with rolled fondant instead. The decorations are fondant and gumpaste.

My son insisted on having his cake loaded with cars. I used cupcakes smothered in icing to create the track.

This was just a practice cake. I just wanted to try out the carving business. 6-inch cake cut in half, placed upward and then carved to look like cars. Buttercream icing (leftovers). Wheels are oreo cookies, gummies were used for signal and stop lights and fruit twists for the bumpers

I can't believe my youngest isn't a baby anymore! Since he loves cars, I thought I make him a racetrack. It also reminds me of how the time is just racing by.

I just made this cake for my brother-in-law's birthday party. I'm not thrilled with the final outcome, as this was my first shaped cake with fondant. It took me hours to create!

This was my first edible image to try using tastyfoto papers and a canon pixma1500. There's a long story behind my hubby wearing the cape so it's pretty much an inside joke but he does love his mustang!

I made this cake for my hubby's birthday. It was german chocolate, his favorite, and a color flow General Lee. My hubby and my son are obbessed with the dukes. Some times I feel like I have two children, if you know what I mean.

I'm not happy with the way it turned out, but my customer loved it. I think I could do a LOT better. It didn't come out like I wanted it to at all. I can only see what I should have done differently when I look at it. Chocolate cake, cut and layered to resemble a car, fondant icing and buttercream piping.

I am so proud of this cake. This is my first carved 3d cake!!

It's cherry chip WASC recipe (no filling), leftover buttercream and mm fondant. I painted the eyes and shaded everything with wilton food coloring and lemon extract.

I included the wilton jar to show you what size it is. It probably serves 3 maybe 4 people.

This is a 3-d personalized racecar. I made it for my little cousins 11th birthday (hence the number 11 on the car). It is a vanilla cake with chocolate pastry cream and bananas. I covered the cake in buttercream and then airbrushed the colors. The windows are made from black fondant and then airbrushed with silver. All of the little decals were made with a food color printer and potato paper. Then I hand-painted silver stripes and squiggles. Enjoy!

This is a cake I made for a co-workers son's 8th birthday. He loves cars and she asked me if I could make a Hummer Grill on the cake. I freehand drew it on paper and then did a gel transfer and filled in with thinned BC.

This cake is Chocolate Fudge on the bottom layer and the car, White Almond cake for the middle. The Wiggles signs were done with Color Flow, the squirrel is Chocolate, and the cookies are sugar with an Almond cookie icing. The little 3 yr old it was for was very excited over it and wanted to keep the car in his bedroom.
