I carved this out of stacked 1/4 sheets. I used HotWheel yo-yo's for the wheels.

This cake was made for my son's 19th Birthday...he had a green Neon and it looked awful...I told him for his birthday that I was going to Pimp his ride like the show on MTV. He tought he was actually getting a new car. He was slightly disappointed...but he enjoyed the cake.

I made this cake for my son's 3rd birthday. I learned so much from making this. I baked two 9x13 cakes, one yellow and one chocolate...for some reason I was just not pleased with the height of the cakes and when I cut them in half to add filling I almost had a disaster on my hands! I think next time I will do a cake extender to get more height. Everyone at the party raved and just couldn't believe that I had made it. :) Overall I am pretty proud of this cake.

A Ford mustang... This cake is chocolate inside, chocolate frosting, and brown sugar frosting. covered by marshmellow fondant. I tinted it blue, then painted it blue with food color, to get a darker color. It was tough, and I would do things different next time so it doesn't turn out so lumpy! Lots of fun overall though, and not too bad of a turn out. Yes it does look like it is sinking. I couldn't figure out a solution to the wheels being half there. :) maybe a box under the center of the cake?

This cake was for my sister's 40th! Her husband got her a yellow mazda and thought it would be cool to have a car cake! The caption under the cake was "Pushing 40 is a lot more fun in a cool car" and the MLC on the license is for Mid Life Crisis!!!

This is the 2nd of the two cakes for a 5th b-day party. The cake is chocolate with choc buttercream(for the black icing) and buttercream for the rest of the icing. The Car and the checkered flag and stick-in logo is a set you can buy seperately to add to the cake. Thanks for looking!!

I made this for my 5 year old grandson's birthday. He had to have the race track and McQueen so I put Mcqueen on a pedestal in the center of the track. I used a combination of fondant, buttercream icing and royal icing to make these cakes. The small cars used in this were presents to the birthday boy when the day was done.

I made this round cake for my son's 2nd birthday. I used buttercream to frost the cake and the road is made of fondant. My son loves hot wheels cars so I used icing to 'stick' the cars on the road.

I used my RaceCakes Nascar pan to make Lightning McQueen. I had so much fun making this cake! Everything is Satin Ice Fondant (LOVE that Satin Ice!) The bottom cake is a 14" round, decorated like winner's circle. There are wooden dowels to hold up the removable cake on top.

This is the side view. I used food coloring, thinned out with a little vodka to do the painting on the car.

chocolate fudge cake with fondant icing. Everything has to be homemade here in Fuerteventura! I get what I can every couple of years from the UK and the rest of the time I improvise and compromise!

Chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Looks kind of plain--but I didn't have a lot to go on for this cake. I hope they like it.

for the retirement party of a vw repairman. I used the Wilton VW bug pan, but didn't want to use an outer buttercream icing. I cut the cake in half, filled it with a thin layer of buttercream, masked it in buttercream, froze it solid for 4 hours and then easily moulded it with rolled fondant instead. The decorations are fondant and gumpaste.
