I used candy clay for the figures of my dad, hubby, brother-in-law and his dad. The icing is fondant and so is the scroll.

my first attempt at a candy cake. I used the dream whip frosting and LOTS of candy. This is for a girl that thinks she is too long for a birthday cake. I think it's great.

Castle Cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday....not as nice as I would like but she "helped" me and if you all have ever tried to make a cake with children around you can understand why it looks like it does...but she loves it and I guess that is all that matters.

This is a chocolate cake covered with buttercream and a candy plaque on the top (I used candy melts in the same pan I baked the cake in). The wording is cut from fondant. Molded candy baby items are on the sides. This was the first time I used a candy plaque and I think it came out well. We tried to cut through the plaque when we served it, but that didn't work well (it cracked), so next time I will remove it before cutting.

I made this for my daughters daycare center a three years ago in '02. I wanted it to have a Fall theme, so rather than just having hunny in his pot, he has Candy Corn too! :)

This is my finale cake from Wilton Course III. It is the regular 10" and 6" tiered cake with fondant roses, but I decorated the sides with white chocolate cherubs...an idea I got from Cake_Princess. Thanks CP!

This was white cake carved out to be 10" wide and 8" tall. Filled with cookies and cream covered in butercream accented with MMF eyes, mouth, teeth & stars. The handle, ears and wings are gum paste. I carved out the top to hold the candy corn. I designed this cake after my halloween candy basket. This was for my sons preschool class. They all loved having black teeth and tongues.

This is my first photo here. This cake was donated to a Katrina fundraiser at my husband's office. The winning bidder requested a yellow birthday cake with chocolate icing to celebrate a triple family birthday -- 2 men and a woman. The leaves are piped candy melts, the icing is chocolate IMBC.

Here is the second gingerbread house that I made. The kit came from Wal-mart and was pre-baked. I assembled and decorated. Added a few extra goodies--frosted mini wheats on the roof, cookie tree and fence. These things are addictive.

Gingerbread cookies with Antonia's royal icing. Just playing with the cookies-not a very good job. Kids wanted to put sprinkles on some.

This cake was made with the CK Pantastic pan. Never used the plastic pans before but it worked great. The "scales" are buttercream and the fins, tail and lips are candy melts molded in the pan. It was for my brother's b-day and he's hoping it will bring him good luck next time he goes fishing!

This g-house kit was done by my 5 year old. I was in charge of the bag of icing but she told me where to put it! I let her do all the decorating and didn't interfere at all, which is a major accomplishment for me!!! I kept my mouth shut! She did great!

I got the idea to do this style of a cake from a member here. They used different designs on theirs, and I added the snowflake free handed. I put the cake sparkles on it to make it look like it had a frost on it. The customer was very pleased with it. I know that I can always come to this site when I'm needing cake suggestions. Thanks

I haven't decorated cookies with royal icing in a long time, but I think they turned out okay. First time trying the chocolate cookie recipe from www.kitchengifts.com and Royal Icing for Decorated Cookies! Gotta say, love them both :)

This is a picture of a series of cakes I did back in 2001. I did a fundraiser for my sons preschool. The parents bought these candy cane cakes for $10 or $15 (can't remember exact cost) and it was all donated to the school to help buy a playset. I think I had between 8 - 10 orders that had to be done within a matter of days. I was sooooo tired of doing this cake by the time I completed all those cakes. I have not done a candy cane cake since (LOL).

This is my 1st place winning entry for the 22nd San Diego Cake Club's Cakes on Parade Contest 2005 for Forgein Techiques - Marzipan. The maki rolls, prawns, wasabi, ginger, noodles, cookies, plate liner, and chop stick holder are all marzipan. The paper fortunes and the nori (paper around the maki rolls) are edible rice paper. All marizpan is hand molded. Typicaly marizpan are of fruits and vegies (ho-hum), I wanted to do something different, It paid off, I won the division with this.
