This was a spice cake with BCT of elk that I got from a coloring book web page, the trees were freehand. I wanted to do camo on the side and was planning on smoothing it after it crusted but my husband gave a guy's perspective and said the texture was good for camo. I'm still not sure if I agree. My friend loved the cake though!

We had a camo-themed party for my hunting-obsessed husband's 50th birthday - everyone either wore their camos or we had camo-colored kerchiefs on a table by the front door. Butter cakes with buttercream icing. The top cake is the Wilton Rudolph pan, and the bottom is 14' round.

I made this cake for my 19-year-old brother who's in the army. In 2 weeks he will be going over seas to Iraq for 18-24 months. It's chocolate with cookies 'n cream filling. It was very fun to make! The fondant is meant to look rough...like camouflage.

Here is the camo baby shower cake that has been designed and redesigned in my head over the last two weeks. Tried the sprays for the camo effect then ended up using buttercream. The blanket is made out of fondant.

This was also last minute, although I had more than 6 hours to complete it! A friend had a going away party for her son who was going into the army, and this is what she wanted. This was my first attempt at camo! The heat took it's toll on it as it took about an hour and a half drive in 90 + degree weather!! It is a yellow cake with buttercream all around!

This was another hunting/camo/elk cake for a friends husband (can you tell hunting is big around here?). I wanted to try the 3-d deer cake but just didn't have the time. The cake is sour cream white w/ huckleberry cream cheese filling. The frosting is cream cheese/BC.

I got this idea from a cake already on here. This was my first time painting fondant. It is much harder than it looks. The leaf and acorn were fun to make though.

I made this cake for a promotion ceremony at my husbands work. He works for the Air Force. It is all buttercream rolled smooth with a rolling pin. Next time I plan to try using fondant to get it smoother.

A friend of mine's son has a camouflaged Tracker that he has been working on so he could drive it when he turned 16. She asked me to make this cake for him for his birthday. I drew this free hand froma picture she e-mailed me. It was a little difficult but I think it tuned out ok.

Camo pattern like one I had done before...just added the bright orange like krissy_kze had suggested on my other one! It really set it off! I think it could have used a deer or something...but I couldn't find one in time!

This cake had the same design as the Beagle and Rabbit one, but I thought the design fit both. Again, fondant boy, rifle, and fawn.

Okay, I couldn't stand it. I tried to clean up the 18 a little. Then decided to make the camo look like stitched fabric. I always do this; take a picture of that cake then decide after looking at it I need to change some things. :-) Wish we were able to delete pics! :-)

I had a lot of fun doing this cake! It turned out very well. This is the first time I've done a "multi-colored" border. This is a white cake with strawberry cream filling...my first torting, lol!

The customer ordered a cake for a turkey hunter. I knew nothing about turkey hunting so I had to do some research. I found that hunters will mount their turkey feathers and beards. The sheet cake is covered with BC and airbrushed in a sort of camo. I have a lot to learn about airbrushing. The feathers, beard and turkey call are all MMF with handpainted details.

8" square all BC icing. Was fun and easy to do but next time I will work harder to not have so many squiggly lines. The #12 tip gave a smooth finish......if only I have more #12s. :( Will know for next time.
