This is the first buttercream transfer that I've done. I've used a projector to do lots of drawings, but I don't have access to one here, so I was very happy to learn this technique. Whatta ya think?

For my daughter's third birthday. She loved Pinochio. I got a picture, taped it on the back of a pan and put a piece of plastic wrap over it. Carefully outlining each of the figures, I filled them in, making sure the entire surface was at least ¼" thick. Put the pan in the freezer until it was hard. Then picked up the plastic wrap and placed it icing side down on the cake, pressed and removed the plastic wrap. A few minor adjustments and it was completed, except for borders and writing. She was thrilled!

This was my first attempt at a BCT. I liked having it done ahead of time, however I was suprised that the black bc started to bleed a bit. Anyone have this problem?

This is my first Frozen Buttercream Transfer. If anyone could give me some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. As you can see, it's not too smooth and it broke a bit with I removed it from the glass.

This is my first attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer. It came out pretty well and I do like the technique. I'll definitely try it again! Plus, I think the dragon is soooo cute!

This was one of my finest creations.. haha. It was the cake that I made for my grandmother-in-law's 80th birthday. It was frosted in Buttercream and piped with the dots and the strings around the sides. This was my very first Buttercream Frozen Transfer. I took a picture of grandma in her 20's and used that for the transfer. She loved it! The original picture was used to make her invitations and was also in a frame at the party. Everyone had to try to guess her age in the photo. Was tons of fun.

Our little dog Sapphire ran away when the wind blew open our back gate, and a neighbor 3 blocks away found her and kept her safe. This was a cake I made to thank her. It was my first frozen buttercream transfer, and I was reasonably happy with the way it turned out! This is almost exactly what our dog looks like.

This is my first FBCT. I had a horrible time icing the cake. I have made this recipe a million times, but this time I had a ton of crumbs. I love the FBCT. I have a lot to practice, but I will definitely do them again!

I made brownies for a Birthday Potluck at work. I had just read about buttercream transfers and wanted to try a simple design out to practice for a Barney Birthday cake later. I let it freeze overnight, but some of it still stuck to the wax paper. I think my icing was too thin. I still liked the results though.

This was my 2nd attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer. My sister-in-law asked for this for their installation reception. I still don't care much for the logo transfer, but it was HARD logo to duplicate! The cake got rave reviews though! Half chocolate/half vanilla.

This was my first buttercream transfer. It needs improvement, but not bad for a first try! If I knew it was going to turn out that cute, I would have actually iced the cake nicely and smoothed it, plus added borders and embellishments. But we learn from our mistakes....

My first cupcake cake and frozen buttercream transfer. These are red velvet cupcakes (20) with cream cheese frosting (background only). I also filled each cupcake with some of the cream cheese frosting. I did this for my cousin's baby shower. She loved it. Dawn, Thank You sooooo much for sharing your technique. Your instructions were great. I used the Walmart brand of fudge frosting and it was perfect for outlining. Now I can move on to more detailed designs. I hope to get as good as you one day.
