I couldn't wait to do this cake! The colours were so vivid. I used Americolor Burgundy and Wilton Chocolate Brown to get the perfect Merlot colour to match the couple's wedding invites. Their mongram is handwiting in royal icing on a curved gumpaste tier. The most complicated monogram I've EVER seen..hahaha!

I designed it from 3 other cake photos the bride brought in to the consultation. We took the top tier from one cake, the bottom from another and the middle from a third cake.

This is a small 6" heart cake I made for the bride & groom to take on their honeymoon. It matches their burgundy & ivory wedding cake.

My first 3 tier stacked. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, although it looked much better in person. The tiers are offset, all bc except the message. I learned alot on this cake. The actual cake was more of a maroon/burgundy color....have to mess some more with my camera.

Cake covered with fondant. Drape, silver hearts and dark burgundy hearts are made from gum paste. Silver is luster dust. The two burgundy ones were the logo for the wedding.

This is my MIL favorite color so I went all out for it. I used a metal embossing design for the side of the cake and spackled it on the cake once the icing had crusted over.

I made this cake for a cousin, they have been together since very young but decided to get married. She asked for something very simple in ivory color, I made french vanilla with amond icing and butter pecan with pecan icing. The Cowboy hat is the groom's cake, my first hat cake. Covered in fondant

I made this hat to go with a wedding cake (in round wedding cakes) for a cousin. It is my first Hat cake and honestly I thought it would be a disaster. I let the outside hardden for about 1 week on top of a real hat (it wasn't straight jaja) and made the whole center the day before. It is a challenge!!! Try it

This was the first carved wedding cake I ever did. I did it about two years ago, and it was also my first try at gumpaste calla lillies. The cakes were all carved, and the covered with fondant and a second layer of fondant was added for the stripes. The calla lillies were made to match the bridesmaid's gowns. The bride was a bit of a bridezilla about paying me claiming it wasn't what she wanted (she sent a pic over the net and I made no promises to duplicate exactly and worded contract to state that).

This cake was entirely designed based on the bride's dress...which was a secret from her groom. Copied the scrolls on the bodice of her dress, with silver dragees and edible pearl buttons.

I had hoped for red roses as the topper for a more classic look, but got lillies that were larger than my head. Oh just gotta laugh!

This is a two teir cake with three sattelite cakes. A lighted fountain resides under the first teir, giving it an elegant touch. All icing on the cake is buttercream icing, including the roses atop each layer. The wedding colors were burgundy and hunter green.

I am SOOOOO glad this wedding is over! (Seriously, I have 72 pages of emails in 6 months from this couple about exact colours/scrolls/sizing/stand/flavours. I wanted to change careers and become a mail carrier in the end!!)

Anyhoo, hope she's happy...or I'll have to get a new printer cartridge just to hear about it.

I made this for my daughters wedding. Each layer was a different flavor and filling. Each side cake was also different flavor. I made 4 extra cakes like the side cakes to fill in. Main cake was 12inch, 9 inch and 6inch, the side cakes were 10 inch. I needed enough cake for 350 guests. This was an ivory colored wedding cake with burgundy ribbon. The cake stand had lights underneath it, so it was very pretty in the evening when it was lit.

We are having a 'Happy Birthday' weekend for all the September/October birthday in my family, so I thought these might be a nice addition. They are NF sugar cookies with Antonia's RI, colored with burgundy and teal.

This is a 12" x 18" sheet cake for a fall bridal shower. The wedding colors are brown and cranberry and she wanted only those colors. The cake was iced in ivory buttercream with cranberry mums of royal icing and brown fondant leaves.

It is a double layer 8" inch ivory icing basketweave and burgundy roses. I got the idea from someone on cc(sorry I don't remember who), but I love how they had the vines and buds coming off the sides.

these are the ribbon roses i just made using the small mmf recipe that i added crisco to. (i posted the recipe in the cake decorating forums) it made the mmf easier to work with and seemed to add some stretch to it. these will be used on my first wedding cake that i will be making in a couple of weeks.

This is my first and largest cake done to date. It is a half sheet cake, White Chocolate with Butter Crisco Buttercream icing (thus the nice creamy color) and decorations. I won't even go into the problems with this cake... you think 'what could go wrong with a sheet cake' let me tell you! It wasn't at all what I had in mind to decorate it with when I started. I am very pleased with the results though. I also tried a new large leaf tip border and inserted the small leaves. I like the look of it.

I made this cake for my sister. Her friend graduated from university. It is not my best work. Wouldn't you know the middle of icing the cake my daughter spiked a fever and started vomiting. Well...I iced that cake as fast as I could and then sent my husband out of the house with the thing to deliver it! It is white, mauve and burgundy buttercream with a mauve MMF bow (my first one). Special thanks to boween and pink flamingo for the inspiration.

This is a 10" round yellow cake w/ a butterscotch filling (it was reminiscient of caramel though) I did a basketweave around the cake and a reverse shell for the top and regular shell border on the bottom. Turkey is done in the FBCT method. This was for a military function, and the comical part about it, no one wanted to cut the cake...they thought it was too pretty (not like I'm some well known cake maker!) I had fun making this cake, but thinking of so many frosting colours to make about drove me nuts!

All BC .... outdoor wedding. I wasn't sure about this cake when the bride brought me the pic, but after it was all done, it did look like a burgundy lace covering on the cake edges.

This was a birthday/graduation cake. Fudge cake with Dawn's bc filling, icing and decorations. I really love the color I was able to achieve and I'm finally getting the hang of smoothing properly.
