This was so much fun. Two 10" round yellow cakes for the buns and 1 10" round chocolate for the burger. I copied and meshed a few ideas I saw here and think it came out great!!

This burger is made of cake layers covered in fondant. I left the "burger" pattie un-iced for the texture of a hamburger. It's set atop another cake covered in chocolate fondant.

used the wilton ball pan and pound cake recipe from an '86 wilton yearbook. The cake crust looked so realistic I ddidn't cover it. Made this when I was 12(?) in '98 or '99. I used BC and smoothed the cheese with water.

This was my entry for the 2006 Cakes on Parade Contest sponsored by the San Diego Cake Club. The whole event proceeds went to MDA. The burger patty is dark & milk chocolate; the cheese, tomato & pickle are candy clay (tomato & pickle also piping gel); bun & onion are fondant; lettuce is gum paste; fries are marzipan; root beer is gelatin; ice cream is white chocolate. I took second place in the hand molded chocolate/non-cake category.

The top (bun) was a 9" layer of cake, on a cake board. Middle of burger was pound cake. Bottom (bun) was the other 9" layer of cake. Used cylinder 'plastic' dowels in middle, as I recall, to hold weight of top cake.I put a dowel through entire cake, so no slippage while transporting. I punched out all the sesame seeds from G.P. flower cutter; then airbrushed them for 2-toned effect. Also, airbrushed the bun. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were made from fondant. French fries were fondant and airbrushed

This cake was decorated during a power blackout. Since it was too dark to color icings to make decorations, I used various fruit snacks and assorted colored Tootsie Rolls to make the burger toppings. The bun cakes were covered in rolled fondant and airbrushed. The burger was a big, fat fudge brownie.

This cake was done for my nephew, who celebrated his birthday at a family cook out. The base was a 1/2 sheet cake covered with marshmallow fondant painted with food dye to look like a table cloth. The hamburger was made from 3 8in. cakes with fondant accents.

This burger cake is a white cake for the bun with sliced almonds on top to look like sesame seeds. The burger is a brownie and the mayo is white buttercream icing. We served it with raspberry puree and mango puree in squeeze bottles to look like ketchup and mustard.

This is my first upload, and my first 3D cake that's not a bear (I've done several bear cakes before finding this WONDERFUL website)!!! It was inspired by all the cakes here on CC. I made this for our Father's Day cook-out. The cake was yellow cake, fresh strawberry & cream filling, BROWNIE, more filling, and more yellow cake. LOTS of fun to make! The french fries are pound cake. Lots of thanks to ASTRO and all you other confectionary geniuses out there for helping me with this. Thanks for looking!:)

My first burger cake, I made this for our friend who loves burgers. The "burger" is red velvet cake (looked like meat when we cut it!) and the "buns are white cake. I didn't use any fondant, it's all buttercream frosting, the brown is brown coloring and crushed oreos. Melted some orange candy for "special sauce". Was REALLY fun!

This burger and fries cake was made for a BBQ at a friends house. The fries are made from fondant and airbrushed. The bun is made with a yellow cake, covered in fondant and airbrushed to give that hamburger bun look. The patty was made from cubing one baked chocolate cake and mixing with chocolate buttercream frosting and molding it into a patty shaped and dried. The lettuce and cheese are both fondant. The cheese was glossy after I coated it with corn syrup. Then I piped on the sesame seeds to finish

The bun is WASC with strawberry filling, and BC icing. The patty is a chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling, BC icing and cookie crumb coat for texture. Made for a gentleman's 80 something BBQ birthday party. 3 - 10' round, was to feed 80+ people, they actualy ended up with 150-ish people, and everyone still had a piece. I also changed my fondant recipe with this one, first time none was left on any plates - they even started peeling it off the board and eating it! Never thought I'd see that happen!

Just plain luck that I happened to have a burger box in my pantry. I kept wondering why I had that sitting there and almost threw it away the week before I took the order. Kinda freaks me out when I think about it, unseen intervention - do, do, do, do.....

The burgers are made with vanilla wafers & choc. mint patties, & the hot dogs are made with wafers as well, and the 'meat' is a starburst candy that I molded by lightly heating in the microwave for a few seconds. A Big Thank YOU to RiSeki for helping me out with this one!!!!

Fun cake to make! Buns are 9 in. contour, burger is 9 in' round. Fondant lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Beer can was made by baking in two Bush's Beans cans, covered in fondant and sprayed with silver luster dust. Cake was beer flavored and yummy! Tasted like banana bread.
