I copied this from a book, that originally carved a cake, then covered it with fondant to resemble a hill. Since no one at my office really likes the taste of fondant, I just did an easy buttercream icing. The little bunnies and carrots are made out of fondant.

This was from pg 66 of the Wilton 05 year book. I saw it & I loved it. I didn't have the petal pan so I used a round 14" pan & cut it into a flower. The basket handles are make of fondant, the icing is Cali4dawn's recipe. I just used a chocolate bunny instead of molding it myself (Didn't have time). I added coconut & peep bunnies to the bottom. Let me know what ya'll think!

Wilton's 3-D Bunny cake atop an 11x15 sheet cake. The bunny is own its own board, which is covered with green "grass" to hide it, on top of a plastic plate. Removed board for transport; replaced on the plastic plate at the party. The shower was a garden theme.

I'm having to do this the old fashioned way (film, develop, CD, download) since the hubby has the digital camera for work, so you're going to get a bunch of photos from the past few months all together. Sorry about that.
This cake was done for a co-worker's daughter who loves Happy Bunny, otherwise she wanted a simple German chocolate cake.

2 round cakes, one for the face, on the second cake cut ears one from each side of the cake and center becomes bowtie. Ice with cream cheese frosting and attach ears and tie with icing. For the fur I used shredded coconut and colored it for ears, mouth, nose, eyes and tie buttons. Very fun and popular with the kids!!!!!!!!!!

This was a super quickee cake. My sister decided not to have a big party for my niece's b-day, but at the last minute I invited myself over for lunch. LOL (Made the cake, frosted it and was on my way by noon!) The top is the mini-bear pan with his ears cut off and graham cracker sticks stuck on top for his ears. You can't tell from the pic, but the sides of the cake were pink.

I made this the other day. I have been afraid to try making fondant figures, but once I got started, it was really easy. I think he's pretty cute!! I got the instructions from the book, The Sculpey Way.

.....am getting there. The outlines of the bunny turned out sloppy because the icing was too thick/dry, but figured it out by the time I got to the chicks. I see that I need to put more icing inside the outlines so it pillows up a bit. Also need to improve my eyeball drawing - yikes!

A Peter Rabbit cake made for a Peter Rabbit themed baby shower. The cake is a 15 X 18 double layer, yellow sheet cake iced and filled with butter cream. The dirt on top was made by grinding graham crackers and brown sugar in a food processor. The grass is butter cream piped with the grass tip. Peter Rabbit, fence, cabbages, cauliflower, carrots, shovel, terra cotta pots, bird and mouse were molded from fondant. The whole cake was edible!!! The mom to be loved it!

These were for my son's pre-k class. The teacher was amazed and the kids loved them, especially my son who said: "Wow mom, you're cool!" I just love him.

Bunnies were made in royal icing. Jelly beans played the egg part of easter.
