This was just a practice cake. I just wanted to try out the carving business. 6-inch cake cut in half, placed upward and then carved to look like cars. Buttercream icing (leftovers). Wheels are oreo cookies, gummies were used for signal and stop lights and fruit twists for the bumpers

When they say to use texture firm, now I know why...moist cakes fall apart!! What started as a fairly simple Debbie Brown inspired baby buggy turned into a nightmare Thank goodness for the fondant (barely) holding it together! It was a disaster...

This is my second pregnant belly & buggy cake. The customer saw the first one on my website and wanted the same cake for her SIL's baby shower. The belly was vanilla and the buggy was buttermilk devil's food.

I had to make 3 dozen of these. They were a lot of fun, but a lot more time consuming than I thought.

Buttercream icing. From Wilton 2006 book - but freehanded patter rather than buy the pan. Lattice was kinda hard and tip 13 stars hurt the hand after a while :) - but turned out ok in the end!
