This is 2, 6x3in stacked white cake filled with buttercream. It's covered in fondant. The Girl and the tub are made of marzipan. Her hair, hair pins and bubbles are royal icing and the top is trimmed with buttercream. I used a rubber stamp to inprint the eiffel tower and hand painted it in. This was for about 10 people (my family) for my sister Heathers' B-day.

After a disastrous trial reconciliation, KelleyM and Buttercream have announced they are immediately filing for divorce. “He’s a bum,” KelleyM sobbed to her sister at 1:20 this morning. “He’s sloppy and messy and he lets me down when it really counts. I can’t live like this anymore.” Buttercream told friends that KelleyM ignored his best qualities. “She had unrealistic expectations. She wanted more than I could give. I knew she was using Fondant again. She would say she was just going out for more butter, and come home with bags of marshmallows, saying she “had a craving for Rice Krispy treats.” But she never bought Rice Krispies. She wasn’t fooling anyone. Can’t she see that Fondant tastes like #*%#$? Someday she’ll be back.” “Ha! Never!” retorted KelleyM. “After what that little *^&$@ did to me on that rubber duck cake? He’s lucky I’m just divorcing him. Fondant treats me nice…makes me feel like a real decorator. This is the start of my new life, and I’m NEVER going back.”

This is a practice cake that I made in anticipation of my son's birthday. I had never decorated a cake before so I wanted to do the practice cake to make sure that I could do it. I had so much fun! I'm really looking forward to doing the real cake this week!

I used the ducky pan and put a sheet cake underneath. It's decorated all in buttercrea.

I've still got to put the banner on top of the cake but thought I'd share anyway. I don't have the banner made...not sure what I'm going to do yet. This is for my cousin's baby shower. I used the baby's bedding for inspiration.

This was a rush job. I started baking the 10" coconut and 8" chocolate on Saturday morning at 10:30. Made the cakes, the icing, the MMF, the royal icing dots and then after the dots dried I hastily painted them with violet luster dust. The cake wasn't settled well since it was freshly baked but I got it to my mom's house an hour away and then put it together. This was for my sister. She's getting married in Gatlinburg this week sometime! Dohhh!

I'm sure there must be a few of you sweet cake ladies who are a bit tired of me uploading two pictures almost every time I upload - my reason for this is that every single time I design a cake I spend a long time searching the net for detailed ideas ... which is why I upload close up off my little people - I would love to help anyone wanting to get an idea!

This was for my cousin's baby shower. The cakes are 8" and 12", french vanilla layers with buttercream covered in MMF. The ducks on the sides are candy melts. I enjoyed making this cake and the mom-to-be seemed pleased. =)

This was a really fun cake to make. I made the invitations also and they had a baby in a bath tub on them with bubbles all over. My bathtub is a little big and this is after I cut it in half. We learn from our mistakes. BC, White chocolate modeling clay bubbles and the baby and duckie are not edible. Thanks for comments. This is my 5th cake to actually sell.

Many thanks to Meghan89 and ellepal whose cakes inspired this one and who each generously shared instructions for the techniques. Mini bear and 9 x 13 layers were lemon cake with Italian meringue "buttercream" flavored with limoncello. Decorations are of fondant and of gumpaste with mini-marashmallow "bubbles".

This cake was sooo fun to do! It was inspired by one of Sharon's (sugarshack) cakes. This was for a homeschool graduation. Their theme was balloons and bright colors, making it easy to do a whimsy - style design.

I had really wanted to try doing this 'wood' look. I used a toothpick to make wood grain then filled it in with food coloring. The cake is just all white with bc in between, the blue and green is mmf, the barrel bath is wilton fondant, bubbles and ferns all bc. Since I am fairly new at this, everyone was totally impressed...including me!

I didn't take official classes for this one. I gathered information from wonderful sites such as this one and with perseverance and some southern ingenuity achieved success! Until today, I had no idea others had mutilated a blood pressure pump for this art...lol...i hid my "frankenstein" tool(named so because I cut it up and pieced foreign items to it to make a new creation). It isn't difficult really. Just need the right temp sugar, and enough wooooo saaaaah .

My niece/goddaughter's birthday, I thought I would surprise her with this cake. I saw some bathtub cakes on this site and thought this would be an ideal cake for her since she enjoys bubble baths. The cake is the 3d-durable recipe from this site and BC with fondant accents. It was fun making it, thought I didn't do too bad...just gotta keep practicing!!!

Made this for a staff party for a recreation center that is known as the Bubble, hence the structure. The bubble encases an olympic sized swimming pool 9 months out of the year(winter), and comes off in summer. The Bubble is white cake that I made blue with food coloring. Square is choc. Iced in buttercream.

This is my first wedding cake for my sisters wedding. Similar to the cake in the "Wilton Tierd Cake" book. It is a yellow and chocolate marble, from scratch with a chocolate ganache filling, covered in BC, and MM Fondant.

I am extremely disappointed, but decided to post anyhow. I'm satisfied with the topper, but hate the cake. I prefer bc icing that is mostly butter and know that I can't get it perfectly smooth, but this cake is a mess. I could have done more to try to improve it, but I've given up. Oh well, it's the thought that counts. I know it will taste good. Almond cake with strawberry bc filling, and bc icing.

I decided to have fun today. I made Tootsie roll flowers and bubble gum flowers. Made them in a Bouquet and painted a little gold lustre dust on them. I'll bring it to my moms-meeting this afternoon. I'm sure the other moms will like to munch on them at the break!

This cake was for a Champagne-themed wedding, but we wanted to incorporate her lilac colour as well...so here is the compromise!

The tiers were 5.5" tall apiece and the flavour was Lime Zest Spongecake with Fresh Raspberry Buttercream, iced in Coconut Buttercream. YUMMY!!
