This is my first *character* cake - I have a lot of room to grow! lol....

This was for a co-worker's ten year old daughter's birthday. She is in love with Bratz - being a new mom, I hadn't even heard of them. I have a lot of room to grow there too! lol...

The cake is french vanilla iced in cherry buttercream, with fondant stars, character and finishing balls. I used a picture I downloaded from the net for the inspiration for the doll.

Thanks for looking!

This is a marble cake I did for a friend. The base icing is buttercream and the stripes are made of fondant. I chose fondant for the stripes because I have a hard keeping a steady hand for straight lines like that. I also like how smooth it came out. I duplicated the party invitation on this cake.

This cake was my first attempt at a FBCT. It was a birthday cake for my niece's 10th birthday. She's crazy about Bratz and was so excited when I told her I would make her a Bratz cake.

This cake was a disaster, but it came out pretty well... It's a vanilla cake with dulce de leche filling, fondant covered and icing decorations...

My first attempt at frozen buttercream frosting transfer. I think I got the outline too thick, it's a little too dark. But I think it's okay for my first attempt at this technique?!

This is an edible image on petal pan. Cake is a lemon buttercake with buttercream frosting. This was for my niece, it is very similar to one I did for my daughter but that was what she wanted so here it is.

I made this cake for a coworker of my husband for their daughter's 8th birthday. They left it on the dining room table and their dog got to it before they could eat it, but not before the picture was taken :)

Stepdaughter loves Bratz, so found some mini dolls that somewhat resembled the Bratz, and matched colors from the dolls to the cake. She loved it!

This was a two person cake; I helped my friend make this cake for her daughter's 7th birthday. The party was Bratz themed, but we stayed away from putting Bratz on teh cake, we just used the color scheme from teh plates and napkins etc. Then to tie it into the dolls we had purses and lips on the cake.

I made this for a friend's daughter. This is the first real transfer I've done and it really turned out great!! For some reason, I seem to write better on cakes than I can print. I wonder why.

This cake was done for my cousin's 6th birthday. I added the candles after I delivered the cake. My aunt normally buys a sheet cake from the local grocery store but this time she gave me a chance. I wanted to do something totally different from the standard sheet cake. It was a big hit everyone loved the cake.

This is my first attempt at really airbrushing other than just some swirls. I got the picture of the bratz girl from one of gmcakes pictures and printed it, put it in my kopy kake and started airbrushing. It was fun to do.

Thanks gmcakes for all your help too.

Okay first let me start with a few disclaimers (grins):
1. I am not a fan of the Bratz, but when your stuck in the 1/05 blizzard in Long Island, and your family requests that you make "one of your great cakes for your cousins daughter (who is fabulous by the way and the sweetest girl you could ever meet), and you are trapped because flights have been cancel to take you back to California where only an infrequent earthquake can trap you...well what can you do...
2. I only made the Bratz girl image.
