I was asked to make this cake to copy one I made of a baby girl, except it had to be a boy. All chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream and then covered in mmf. Baby was molded out of RKT as well as the baby blocks.

The birthday boys mom gave me a napkin to use for inspiration on this and I pretty much used that design. All buttercream icing.

The cake is chocolate with whipped icing. The decorations are made out of fondant. The airplanes were made a little too big but none the less everyone loved it. Welcome baby Seth!

Onesie cake covered in MMF, both pairs of shoes are gumpaste. Flowers are cutouts from edible sheets I printed. "Blanket" is also MMF, so everything is edible. Inspiration from so many beautiful baby shower cakes on this site. TFL!

This is a two tiered cake. The bottom layer is a WASC with vanilla pudding covered in white buttercream. The top layer is Barb's chocolate cake with cocolate puddding covered in chocolate butter cream. I made one of the homemade fondant recipes from CC (the cream cheese based) and used that for the decorations. It tasted wonderful but was kind of hard to work with !

I made this for a friend who's co-worker is having a boy. I got the whole idea from LoriRice's "baby shower" cake but made some small changes. This was a 6" & 8". Buttercream w/fondant accents. And my first 3-D figures! I had a blast making them so now I want to learn more!!! Hopefully the mommy of honor will enjoy her cake tomorrow =) TFL!

My 1st attempt at making this cake and misjudged the size of the twinkies. This was for my sisters 1st ever baby shower after waiting 29 years to have her first baby. An no one but me as usual thought the diapers looked weired. I should have cut the cake smaller so that they diapers could have been closer together so that they looked like they were sitting in a box. LOL the next one will get measured TWICE.
Real simple cake to make made from buttercream and fondant.

Replicated the theme best possible yet left it sorta simple? I didn't want to over-do it, but who knows, lol. All fondant & edible images other than palm tree. Plastic but covered trunk w/fondant to replicate theme's palm tree as well =) Thanks for looking!

The tiers are 8 & 6. The 6" is iced in b'cream under a layer of blue fondant while the bottom is iced in buttercream w/fondant stripes. Cutters were used for the fondant rattle & lambs. Sleeping Baby is also fondant w/a bit of GumTex added.
Base board is 3 cake circles glued together & covered in freezer paper.

Fondant spiked with Tylose Powder to make it dry harder like GP. Topper for a baby shower cake. I used Aine2's tutorials for inspiration on this one, I couldn't have done it without her.

I got another order for one of those adorable clothesline cakes only this customer wanted some yellow ducks incorporated and when I was delivering it to the party store (they get me orders and the customers pick them up there) I realized I had forgotten to add any ducks, so we grabbed some little duck cupcake picks they had for sale and broke off the pick part and laid them on the cake lol how cheesy.......oh well........TFL

Baby boy cookie bouquet I made for a friend's baby shower. She did the nursery in baseballs with a few footballs. She also already has two daughters so I borrowed someone from CC's idea and made the "Big Sis" cookies! The large cookie in the back with his name on it did not turn out as well I would have liked it to, but it was my first one.

This is my first buttercream cake using SugarShack's technique....I am so excited about the outcome...Thank You (although I still have a long way to go). Also, I got the idea for this cake from a couple of CC's, and couldn't wait to try the 'clothesline' look. Buttercream base with fondant accents.
