This was made for my daughter's 7th birthday party. The pins are made from rice-crispie treats and the ball is a "Wonder Ball" frosted to look like a bowling ball.

Long loaf pan torted and decorated in buttercream. Bowler was hand molded from fondant and detailed with buttercream. This was actually put on top of a half-sheet cake which was done in chocolate. Pins and bowling ball are candles by Wilton.

This cake idea came from a Wilton Yearbook. The bowler is made out of gumpaste to match the birthday boy's features. The purple shirt is a very distinctive bowling shirt he used to wear at times. The bowling ball is made of gumpaste to match his own bowling ball. The glasses are made out of flower wire, and the pins are just bought candles. The cake is buttercake filled with cream, peaches and caramel. A typical Uruguayan cake.

My seven year old wanted a bowling party and I wanted to come up with a "girly" bowling ball cake. I got this idea from a cake listed on the picture gallery and modified it to make it girly! She loved it. It is all in buttercream, two layer 9x13 with buttercream filled layer.

This was a nightmare! The ball was the easiest, but since I didn't have a bowling pin pan, I had to bake sheets and cut them out. I used simple syrup on the edges to help with the crumbs.

My husband and his twin are both bowlers so I made them each a bowling ball for their birthday. I was going to try to match their ball color, but my husband never gave me a final answer on what color his brother's is. I gave up and just did chocolate. I had to do something "plain" for the picky guys so it's just plain old chocolate with an extra egg and pudding mix.

The birthday girl was having a bowling party ~ the lighting is always so bad in the bowling alley! This is my version of a cake I saw here by mycakesandmore. Thank you for the inspiration! Wilton Sports Ball, 9x11 sheet and iced sugar cookies. Hannah was thrilled when she saw it!

This was one of four cakes that mommachris and I made together for my brother's birthday. The cupcakes are lemon and all decorations are buttercream. The idea came from cc.

Made this ccc to give to the child who attended my son's bowling party. Bowling alley didn't have an open room for us and no time to come by the house. So, my dd and I made these to the boys to take home to their houses. (big grin)
All b/c icing and decorations. Piping gel transfer of a design seen here on cc.

This a 3/4 sheet cake. I attempted to make it look like a bowling lane. Turned out ok, but could have been much better if I had more time to work on it

This was a 1/4 sheet with French vanilla cake pins and chocolate cake bowling ball. This was for my niece's 9th b-day and she was having a bowling theme party but also LOVED and wanted Hello Kitty, so I compromised and made them together. It didn't turn out too bad and my hubby drew the Kitty freehand.

Made for a friend of mine who likes to bowl, golf and likes the Cubs. He had a little "incident" with a substance while he was overseas so I had to put the weed and the stogie.

Chocolate cake, for a little bowling fan. He's in the same bowling league as my son. This cake is part of my contract with the bowling ally, I do all their birthday parties cakes. but that little guy wanted a bowler on the cake. My printer was broken so I had to draw the bowler on the wafer paper, wasn't in the mood for a FBCT and I don't have a projector either. Bless those food coloring pens!!!

I made this for a girls bowling party. The pins are all 3 dimensional and are made with stiff buttercream that I shaped into pins. The ball is also buttercream. They loved it, which was nice.
