This is my course III final cake and was my first attempt at lily nail flowers. Look nice, but time consuming!

After my latest class I was feeling lousy about my lack of being able to make a rose. So I made this cake with my left over icing to practice. I feel a bit better now.....but still have a ways to go.

Buttercream icing, gumpaste flowers, it's been so long I can't remember what flavors were inside! This cake design is from a Wilton yearbook.

Decorated with buttercream icing and edible pearls. Silk ribbon and flowers on top. Difficult colors to match what the customer gave me!

This is a cake I made for a very dear friend who is due any day. I wanted to make this special for her because she is so special to me. Not my best cake, but I have not made many lately...guess I am a little rusty. Anyway...thanks for looking!

6" and 8" iced in bc, with fondant accents, and a candy clay name. The crown was bought from the party store. My first stacked cake, I wish it would have come out better.

This cake was made for the sixth grade graduation reception at a local elementary school. I wanted to do something a little different so I stopped by and took a photo of the school and the sign out front. The principal thouught it added a nice touch to the cake. The Students loved it.

This was my first time to do a wedding cake. I did it as a favor to help out a lady at my husband's work. It turned out pretty, but there were some crumbs in the icing that I didn't notice until it was too late. I don't think they stood out to anyone else, though. I made the topper out of gumpaste and put super pearl and super gold dusts on it. All I see are the flaws when I look at it, but the ladies at the reception site thought it was gorgeous, so that made me feel better.

Full sheet marble cake with buttercream frosting, royal icing roses and leaves, and edible image sheets. This was my first "large" cake, donated to my children's school for graduation.

I just got back from my course III class and finished this cake to bring into work tomorrow. It's a lemonade cake with a lemon mousse and lemon buttercream. Since I needed to write on it, I didn't put the flowers on it. Wilton fondant it really nice to work with, I hope I can make MMF work that easy too. Thank for looking!

This is a grad cake I made for my cousin...In my opinion, there are way too many flowers, but that is what she wanted! And I don't like the colors, but those are her school colors, so not much I could do about it! The bottom layer is edible images all the way around of her from her many years of being a figure skater. Bottom layer is choc.w/rasp filling, middle is yellow w/ choc. filling, and top is straw w/ choc. filling.

I was inspired by a few cakes I found here. It took me FOREVER to make this cake, and my first time working with MMF, it was really fun. Everyone loved the cake, but I told them it would be worth at least $100 for me to make it for anyone else, just because it was a pain - but very fun to see what I could do.

I made this cake for my cousin's end of the season baseball party...They are the Tulsa Lightning, thus the reason for the cursive L's on the side of the cake. The baseball, lightning, and circles are fondant...the rest is buttercream.

This cake was for someone who came home from the war in Iraq. The family wanted red, white and blue with a yellow ribbon. Thanks for everyones suggestions with this cake. I went with the one on the Wilton website, just my own spin with the bow and cake board.

The top & lower tier section are empty because the customer had her own cake topper. I didn't get a picture of the cake at the event -- my sister is the caterer & she took the cake & set it up for me. I used a pale yellow for the cornelli lace & then added blue flowers.

I have been wanting to try those marshmallow booties and I finally got another baby shower cake order. They are so easy and I think they are so cute.

This was my first ever baby shower cake, and first time to use edible images. I paid a local shop for the images and had NO idea they would be that big. I thought they would be the same size as the original scanned...oops! The theme of the shower was "under construction" thus the reason for the vivid colours. I took some mini oreo's and crunched them to make it resemble asphalt. The cake is a yellow butter cake, it has 2 edible images, and "traffic/construction" signs. Constructive critiquing is welcome.

This was my first carved cake, and my first time using MMF. I made this for my son's 2nd birthday. I wanted to get the cat and dog in there because he's a little nuts for animals!! Hand-carved white and decadent chocolate cakes with buttercream icing. MMF animals, stars and smokestack. Popcorn "smoke", oreo wheels. SO FUN!!!

I made this cake for a friend of mine. She married earlier this year after a long relationship. This cake was for a party to celebrate her husband legally adopting her son from her previous marriage. I wrote a poem for them and put part of it on the cake. The writing is aweful because my icing was too thick, but she's happy with it so that's all that matters. Thanks for looking! Marble cake/bc icing.

Special thanks to Sugarshack for the inspiration for this cake. Sadly, it's not quite as fabulous as hers! BC icing and writing, with fondant/gumpaste accents and bow. The crosses around the bottom are white chocolate. Thanks for looking :)

Baby Shower cake with a custom made (non-edible) topper designed to look like the mommy-to-. I still haven't figured out how exactly to get my angles to work right, but this was only my 2nd whimsy cake.
