It was my fellow karate black belt's birthday and my sensei asked me to make a cake for him. I was told he had a nickname of monkey boy, so monkeys were requested.

Chocolate cake with cookies & cream filling. Vanilla IMBC with fondant decorations. I thank TamiAZ for the inspiration.

This is my first ever fondant, tiered, decorated cake. I made it with mmf and did the snowflakes and tree details with royal icing. I got the idea out of the wilton book. I think it turned out pretty well, since it is the first cake I have ever done that wasn't your basic 13 by 9 pan or molded pan with buttercream on it.

A cake for a frog-themed baby shower, and loosely based on the invitation (top right corner). The ladybugs and bees are royal icing, and the frogs are hand-sculpted MMF. Each little frog is in a different pose. My favorite is the one who has his hand over his mouth -- he looks like he's up to something!

This cake was for 50 people for a surprise birthday party. The family is Indian and wanted a cake to reflect that. She wanted vibrant gree and blue with gold, silver and pearl. What's odd is that she wanted her 1st initial and his on the cake. So it looks more wedding-y to me. Chocolate cakes with raspberry and strawbeery fillings. Chocolate mocha buttercream. Fondant with royal accents.

8" and 6" French Vanilla cakes iced with Whimsical Bakehouse Buttercream, torted and filled with raspberry buttercream. Bear is a hand modelled fondant figure. Not happy with this one but decided at 3 AM that sleep was more important!

This is for my niece. She loves flip flops so I got her several pair for her birthday. These are her favorite colors so I turned her flip flops into her birthday cake. She can have her shoes and eat them too!

This is my second fondant cake to ever make...I used MMF instead of the store bought stuff (which is disgusting to eat and hard to work with)! This cake was so much fun to make!

This is a 12"x18" sheet with an 8" in the corner in BC. The green is Wilton's spray color. This is for a graduation party for a kid that was on the football team so the small cake has the image of his helmet, a ball, and his number.

I did this cake for a male friend of mine and his husband's 2nd anniversary (they live in MA where same-sex marriages are legal) as a gift. And for more fondant practice. I was shooting for a more masculine look than flowers and didn't want to go with the obvious rainbow color scheme. They both loved it and were touched that I would give them a cake! :) Cake is choc raspberry with rasp BC under MMF (same batch as the round tasting cake).

I made this Cake for my dads birthday, and decorated it in a rush, so it;s not the most beautiful thing, but it's gonna taste good, the cake is apricot and peach and lemon , and in the buttercream icing, I used pina colada and lemon.

This is the second cake I made and decorated. It's just a pound cake covered with fondant and fondant accents. I curled a thin floral wire around a wooden spoon and stuck a fondant ball on the end. Pretty pleased with my second try.

I forgot to take a pic of my first cake.

I wish the angle was better on this picture. All white cake. 12"/8"/4". The 8" is filled with strawberry filling. Covered with fondant and all fondant decorations. Took colors from invitation. The balloons are suspended on silver florist wire. The small 4" was used for his "smash cake".

So this was originally going to be a mad hatter style cake...until my practice run split in two...thankfully, the bride was willing to go flat round with just the funky design...marble cake w/choc BC then covered in MMF. Wrapped lollipop sticks with curling ribbon (was the only ribbon I could find in the right colors since I procrastinated lol) and double stick tape, then stuck the MMF stars right on top. Decorated the table with extra MMF stars. From what I've heard, the bride & groom loved it! :)

This is the smash cake for the green and blue cake. I interchanged the colors, making blue the base color for this. I think this looks prettier than the other cake even though the frosting on the sides got messed up a little on the sides.

i did this for my cousins baby shower. i was really pleased with the letters, but not with the rest of it. i didnt care for the colors, but she wanted that. and my buttercream was so hard to deal with, so i had to cover alot of it with fondant.

Bottom layer is chocolate and vanila cake with almond custard filling. Top layer is white chocolate cake. Hubby requested that the sun be incorporated in the cake and he was happy with the outcome. Star sugar cookies on the bottom tier where suppose to be part of the giveaways but decided to use them for the cake.

Wilton 2007 design. Chocolate cake with Dream Whip Icing.

I couldn't get it as smooth as I wanted and I made a mistake with the yellow swirls over the pink icing. But overall, I'm happy with the cake, and it tasted good. The birthday girl loved it as well

My father's 49th birthday cake. All in buttercream. I made the DAD letters by pressing D & A cookie cutter letters into the cake then outlining the letters and filling them in with stars.

My nephew couldn't decide whether or not he wanted the Hulk or Spiderman, so I told him he didn't have to decide and I managed to come up with this. It's just a 1/2 sheet cake decorated with buttercream frosting; I managed to find the little figures at a Christmas clearance sale, they were ornaments.
