I wanted to make a cake for my bf's parents since they have been letting me use their oven since mine hasn't been working and this way I got to practice my cornelli lace. I am not happy with the way it turned out... but it's better than the last time... it just kills my hand. I can do it great on paper then when it comes to doing on a cake, forget it!

These were a first for me.  I finally tried the gelatin flowers and was pretty pleased with what I came up with.  The cake is a white almond cake covered in BC and MMF.  Kinda don't want to cut into it.  What do you think?

This was my 2nd Easter Egg that I did for my family.  I had a lot of green frosting left-over from another cake....... so I was already part-way done before I started thinking "oh no! rotten egg!"  What do you think, and be honest - it looks like a rotten egg, right?  LOL... I just went with it, since it was for my own family & they just like to eat the cake anyway  =)

This is a cake that I made for my family for Easter.  The idea was taken from one of the Wilton books but their cake was heart shaped.  It was my very first time doing daisies (haven't had that class yet) so I'm pretty happy witht he way they turned out.

I took this to Hobby Lobby last night right before my class and by the time class was over (2 hours) someone had put a big hole in it!  I am so discouraged - what makes people want to destroy things like this???

This is an almond cake, cherry filling, and almond flavored BC.  The customer's grandma loves blue.  The roses are BC, left to crust and then airbrushed. I'm not overly fond of my handwriting on this one, but it'll do.

This is the first attempt that I had at doing a tiered cake that wasn't stacked. It was really easy. It is all from BC icing.

My dog ran away yesterday (grrr!!!) and as I was trying to chase her down with my two young children in tow, a neighbor that we hadn't met yet came out and offered to go find the dog for me.  He was gone for a while (In the 95 degree heat), and came back with our dog.  I made him this cake in appreciation.  It is a butter cake with buttercream icing and MMF accents.

This was for a lady at work who loves chocolate.  It is chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate frosting for filling.

I made this cake as a practice.  I learned that I need more buttercream, and I have to make it a bit thinner (it was too stiff to smooth out).  Also, I made the little balls on the bottom 1/2" instead of 1/4" (don't make a cake when you're tired).  Otherwise, I am pretty pleased with the outcome, it is my second attempt at smooth buttercream

I made this for a co-worker for a dinner party she was having.  It is a 10" round and 6" round cake covered in pale blue fondant with bright colored fondant flowers and green buttercream rosette border.

Triple chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling, iced in buttercream.  Edible image plaque topper.  Fondant accents dusted with luster dusts.  Thanks for looking!

This is chocolate with cherries, and white cake with almond and raspberries...fondant covered...purchased butterflies.  From that amazing gal on this site...i'll find the name and give her proper credit..though mine doesn't do her design justice.  For my neighbors retirement party...a big gardener and butterfly fan!  I wish i could have done better with the fondant...but this is my second i guess i'm pretty happy with it

My first time with fondant. Covered a chocolate fudge cake with MMF and made the flowers with MMF too. 
Oh! and im sorry about  my shadow on the cale...not very smart of me!

I made this cake for a friend of mine. I had SO MANY issues with this cake, but the roses were fun!  The girl was 8 years old and designed the cake herself.  The cake is white cake with mint chocolate chips, the filling is chocolate with crushed up mint candies and the buttercream frosting has a peppermint flavor.  I wish I could eat this one.  I just can't get a smooth buttercream to save my life! AGH!

My graduation cake from my level 3 cake decorating.  I'm so proud of my flowers.  My first time and I had lots of fun.  The fondant was okay okay, I just need to practice more. =o)

These are sample cakes I threw together to have an idea of how long it will take and what they will look like.   They are for a Fashion Show Fundraiser for my son's school.  I'll be doing 300 of these if they are approved by committee.  They are 4" mini tasty fill cakes with cheesecake mouse (pastry pride and jello pudding cheesecake flavor) filling.  I was in a hurry and overbeat my icing so not as smooth as I would like.

This was my first request for a gluten-free cake.  I did a trial run with a recipe before I made this one and was very pleased with the outcome.  The customer loved it.  They couldn't get over how good it tasted, so I was very happy.  I know I will be getting more requests from them.  It was a chocolate gluten-free cake with whipped buttercream filling and frosting.  Thanks for looking.

This is my favorite cake yet!  I was thinking about doing a cake covered in daisies and it's all I had hoped it would be.  It took a long time to make the daisies - my sister and I sat at the kitchen table with coffee and rolled fondant for hours!  

This is a three layer cake (french vanilla, pistachio, french vanilla) with peppermint buttercream icing and rolled fondant (daisies).
