This was a cake I made for practice...Top two are french vanilla with hazelnut buttercream and bottom is super moist chocolate fudge cake w/extra choc chips, caramel and pecans...Yuuuummmmmyyyyy!

Fondant covered square cake with royal icing scrolls in gold. Cherry blossoms in brushed embrodiery and hand painted sugar pearls. 50th Anniversary celebration on a yacht which unfortunately did not have much lighting.

I made this cake for my mom to take to her aunt, who is turning 95 tomorrow.  I had originally planned for pansies, but they didn't turn out like I wanted so I opted for apple blossoms.  I live in *apple country*, so I thought it would be fitting... ;0)

It's a four-layer (two torted cakes) french vanilla cake with peppermint icing and fondant.

Pink and brown have been the new black and white for a while now and still are.  It's a personal favorite combination too, so couldn't resist...A modern twist to the conventional wedding cake. All decorations are made of fondant and blossoms are dusted with Orchid Pink Luster dust

This is a coconut cream pie cake covered on Tiffany Blue fondant. Top was made with half ball pan over a 6". Base was an 8" dummy.  Think I used the petunia cutter for the blossoms and rolled out fondant stems...Dusted with Super Pearl dust...

Last recycled cake...I promise...Had to try something else...Not too crazy about this concept/design...Saw it in a wedding invitation and thought I could carry over...Used a small calyx cutter and rolled chocolate fondant centers. Same ole' Tif cake;-0

Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, torted and filled with alternating raspberry jam and frosting.  Goes with the yellow cherry blossom cake.  Buttercream cherry blossoms in pink and white.

Yellow cake with vanilla-almond frosting, torted and filled with alternating raspberry jam and v/a frosting.  The cherry blossoms are an alteration on the apple blossom, made with buttercream, as here in Japan, cherry blossoms are beautiful and abundant in the spring.  The pastor and his wife are going back to the states, so this was a farewell cake and she loved the cherry blossom festivals.  Both cakes were almost completely gone and I got some upcoming orders.

This is the cake i posted earlier, with the toppers the bride wanted, i put them on at the reception, i still dont know why she got different sizes, i dont like it at all!!!
The tiers are 10,8 and 6 inches, 3 or so inches tall.

White cake covered in fondant, royal icing cherry blossom limbs and fondant cherry blossoms. Spout, handle, dollie and teacups are Pettinice as well. Since the cake was smaller, I also made cherry blossom sugar cookies to go along with it.  I learned a lot from this cake and your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Argh! Yesterday was a bad day. I did the branch design on site when I set up, but forgot my sketch and the photo from the web I was attempting to duplicate. Had to do it freehand by memory so it's not quite what I had envisioned. 

I also thought the bride was having a monogram topper, so I left the branches on the sides only. My mistake, no topper. I would have loved to have continued the pattern up to the very top instead.

I did this cake before for a farewell.  Someone saw it on my website and asked me to do it for her Mom's 70th birthday.  White cake with almond icing.  Crusting buttercream cherry blossoms, thanks to CC for the recipe.

This dummy cake was made for a potential customer.  Her colors are pastel orange and brown.  Cake and accent are MMF.  Thanks to everyone in the cake ideas forum for their wonderful suggestions!!!

12" Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Mousse Filling.  Royal icing roses & apple blossoms, dusted with pearl luster dust.  Monogram is royal icing painted with gold luster dust.  DreamWhip BC icing.

This was for a friend of mine who is moving out of state.  Yellow cake with strawberry filling.  Inspired by a cake in the Course 2 book.  I was very pleased with the result!

Peanut butter cake, raspberry filling, BC icing. Chocolate fondant w/tylose branch, gumpaste cherry blossoms. This cake was a nightmare. The wedding was at the zoo, and I was told I would be able to pull my car to the reception site. Wrong. I had to carry this cake through the China Exhibit, in Memphis, in JUNE. It was hot and humid, and by the time I got to the table the tiers had shifted a little. Nothing I could do at that point - so here it is. I'm also not happy with the branch, it's out of proportion.

I had a lot of leftover appleblossoms (royal) from course 2.  I didnt like the color pink I had made them so I hadnt used a lot of them on my cake, but I love that color with this shade of  green.  I had cake batter leftover so I made cupcakes-a great way to use up leftover royal flowers, icing, and cake batter!

Chocolate mousse cake covered with white fondant and decorated with gum paste flowers.  The branch is made of modelling chocolate.  I made the mistake of not putting enough support on the bottom layer so it is sinking in the left side of the cake.

Cake for a celebration in our city, our town has a sister city in Japan & it was the 10th anniversary of the partnership. Fondant emblem, flags, cherry blossoms and branches , 16", 12" and 8" frosted in gold buttercream. (Imagined more of a real gold color of icing in my mind! I guess they meant 'gold-yellow' on the container.

A dummy cake made for a bridal expo this weekend.  The topper is a 6 inch petal shape, covered in ivory fondant with flowers made from modelling paste and royal iced vines, leaves and centres.  Each cupcake was covered in a circle of fondant and then decorated with gumpaste floers and butterflies and royal icing vines and leaves.

This is a cake dummy decorated for a Bridal Expo that i attended today with franjmc and koko4min. 
Small cake, 6 5 and 4 inch dummies, covered in fondant, with gumpaste blossoms. This was very time consuming for such a small cake.

This cake was the final cake from Course 2 of the Wilton Classes.  The flowers are daises and apples blossoms made of Royal Icing.  Also shown is the basket weave technique.

White cake w/ citrus rolled buttercream.  This was the 1st and only time I used rolled buttercream.  It seemed "oily" to me, but tasted great. Green color was sponged on before decorating with buttercream blossoms.

I haven't done anything with decorating for a year and have only taken the first two Wilton classes. So this was my first actual cake I have ever done. I got the design from the Wilton Tiered Cakes book. It was definately a learning experience and I had some tense moments as I delivered it. It was so hot and all I could do was sit and watch the frosting slide off. I was able to do some quick repairs and I think it turned out okay and the people loved it, I guess that is what matters.

Another cake that got the short end of the stick due to house renovations colliding with commitments.  Lower tier was butter almond cake, top white chocolate cake, both with dark chocolate ganache filling (WC was AMAZINGLY YUMMY!). BC with royal flowers and fondant ribbon.
