The color theme was black and red for this military squadron baby shower. Very simple design. 10" rounds, chocolate with buttercream and lemon with lemon icing.
Sometimes it is nice to have a basic cake, but it would have been fun to do more detail with this.

This is a cake that I made just for practice. 10/6/4 inch rounds Choc. cake with strawberry filling and covered in mmf. Flowers and ribbon are fake. I don't like this cake at all!!! I'm only posting it because I value all of your opinions. Thank goodness it was just practice and not an order, I gave it to a friend and they didn't mind it was bumpy! :) The mmf was soo weak, it made it almost to 105 degrees here today, and I had a ton of trouble working with it!

I made this cake for my friend Trish and her fiance Bruce a.k.a Moose. They actually haven't seen it yet as the reception is just starting! I was a nervous wreck delivering it as it was over 30 miles away on small county roads, over RR tracks and every stop had those grates on the road to slow you down! Came out ok though! Oh, it's whote chocolate cake with almond buttercream frosting. Thanks for looking, any comments are really appreciated!!

Got the idea for this cake from Collette peters Birthday Cakes book. Her favorite colors are red, black and silver as you can see. The letters are made from royal icing and outlined in red and black piping gel (which I wouldn't recommend doing by the way). But she LOVED it and that made it all worth it!

This cake was designed after a cake by Rebecca Sutterby (though hers is absolute perfection!) it was my first attempt at "crooked" cake, though you can't tell much by the picture. Slightly challenging, if anyone has any tricks on how to do these, I'd love to know! Bottom was 2-9" and 1 8" inch, top was 2 6"'s and 1-5". All decorated w/ fondant.

This is a 2 layer, 6" DH Classic Yellow with extender added. All buttercream with an edible image for the cards. AWESOME tasting cake! Unbelievable! The sides did bulge a little due to overfilling, but other than that it was a pretty easy cake. It's for my mom's husband's birthday that happens to be on Thanksgiving this year, so we didn't want a big cake.

This was for a December wedding, but she did not want it to look like Christmas. 6, 10, and 14 inch square cakes on a 16 inch mirror. The cakes are White Almond Sour Cream Cake (Kudos to Karenelli - YUMMY recipe!) with raspberry cream filling. Covered in buttercream and then Almond flavored MMF. I used a cupcake covered in MMF on the top to give the bow some height. Thanks for looking!!

LOL!! I made this 6" doctored white cake with Buttercream for the Superbowl for my husband. He wanted something else, but this is from the leftover batter from my Roses cake and I used up old frosting that I had. I was trying to make one of the southwestern cakes, but this is what happened!!

LOL! I actually got a request for a Scarface cake! I couldn't decide what to do, so I posted here and Doug gave me some links to some artwork. I chose the movie poster one. The customer LOVED it! The birthday boy hasn't seen it yet, but I'm sure that he'll love it since he is a Scarface collector! It's a Classic Yellow DH mix with extender added, frosted in buttercream.

If you don't know who the MisFits are than you won't appreciate this cake. This was made for a guy who obsesses over this band. All buttercream with fondant designs, freehanded all the skull features and Name.

Okay, this cake has a deeper meaning. It was a two in one cake for my brother. Unfortanately, he had to spend a few months in jail and he got out a couple weeks after his birthday. When I asked what he missed the most he replied " my bed". So that was my inspiration for this one. I was hoping he missed a certain food or maybe driving, biking or anything other than his bed, but I managed. ( I wished I would've had time to put a girl on the bed, ha ha. ) This was my first ALL fondant cake.

This is my first topsy turvy cake and my first time working with fondant. My friends husband asked me if we could leave the top layer off, so that it could be carried to her with a candle during "Happy Birthday." I would appreciate any feedback.

This cake design gave me headaches! It was very easy, but I was really worried that the colors would look bad. In the end, I LOVE IT! I think the colors look great! I hope you like it too!

I was asked to make a (last minute) wedding cake, 4 tiers - ivory, red, and black. I was told it needed to have a country western theme, and it was to be all buttercream frosting. They provided their own cake topper.

Satinice fondant-white, black, red. Silver dragees in flowers. Hand-molded ladybugs on top and around bottom. Used Wilton floral art cutters for daisies, black blossoms, and leaves. 8" and 12" cakes. This is my favorite non-wedding cake I've made!
