This wasn't my best work but my son saw the picture in a catalog and wanted it. I used the horseshoe pan to make it look like a construction site. Then added the mini tonka trucks. My favorite is the cement truck laying the icing! Also his name is hard to read but its suppose to look like boards nailed up. Thanks for looking!

This is my first bow. MMF, it worked out well. And also my first try with the Viva paper towl method, LOVE IT! It works awesome, so much easier than parchment or a hot spatula. If you haven't tried it, you MUST! Any comments are appreciated!

My version of a cakesbyallison cake. Thank you! Your cakes are beautiful. I used Satin Ice for the first time. It is very dry here and kept cracking on me. After a little bit of Crisco I got it figured out.

The cake is frosted in buttercream. I made the balloons and the strings out of fondant. I ran out of frosting and really didn't want to make anymore so I used M&M's for the border. I think it turned out better that way than it would of with frosting anyway

I owe meeah a super big thank you for this one. The birthday saw that cake that meeah did and wanted it just like that cake (well except she wanted to make sure it didn't have to say "Happy Birthday Callie" ;) , I hope I did it justice. Here is the link to the original cake
It was all buttercream with color flow for the musical notes. The picture was printed and laminated.

This is a cake I did for an 11yr. old girl. Thanks to kstgelais4 for posting your pics. I showed your pics to the little girl and she loved the cake with the microphones. I also did the microphones but they are in a different pic. My cake is just a single layer 10" with marshmallow fondant. I also made the logo from fondant by covering cardboard with fondant and then writing on it in buttercream.

This cake was a small personal cake for the 1st birthday girl. I made the fairy from fondant and painted/died it to create the fairy from the invitation.

I made this for a little girl's birthday... she loves dolphins. I decorated the cake to look like an ocean theme. The dolphins were hand molded out of fondant, inserted lollipop sticks and set to dry. Once dry, then I coated each with luster dust so they'd sparkle. Cake sides were decorated with seaweed, fish and crabs. The cake border was crushed graham cracker crumbs for the ocean bottom and candy shells were molded and brushed with luster dust.

I got this idea from a cake here on CC, but I can not locate the original picture to give them credit for this idea. If anyone knows who it is, please let me know!

I made a scratch butter cake, topped with MMF and a Buttercream transfer. He turns 30 on May 12 and asked for a Raiders cake for his party. It was my first time making black fondant, it was rough! AND my first time making a transfer, it turned out pretty well I think!

Thanks cakemaker for the instructions on making the hat - had such fun and was far easier than I expected. I made this for my niece's 5th birthday party. It was a chocolate sponge mini cake with matching horseshoe cupcakes.

Bday cake for friend's 3 and 5 year old boys. Chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Used combination of Thomas tutorial and other instructions found on another website (sorry Cake Central!). First stab at it, the kids loved it - but it is CAKE after all! :)

This is my first attempt at a topsy turvy and it looked much better in my imagination. Fortunately, my 10 year old loved it! It was made with the WASC recipe and is filled with BC.

This is my son's birthday cake inspired by bcake1960. Choc cake with pastry pride and Rich's bettercream. Was hard pressed to find army toys ANYWHERE so the sizes were off, but he was happy with it so I was too.

We had a 50's party for my little girl's 2nd birthday. The doll was made from Wilton's doll pan. Bright pink icing and signature poodle. The other is a record, made from an 8" round pan. Both were a hit and added to the marvelous day.

We don't like pastel colors and we didn't have a real theme for our daughter's first birthday. I guess we ended up with the theme of "pink!" It's pink buttercream with marshmallow fondant flowers made with cookie cutters.
