This is a cake that I made for my sister's 20th birthday. It is a white cake with buttercream icing. My inspiration for the design was from a patterened Easter egg on a plastic bucket I had laying around the house. I have began to look in the strangest places for cute patterns and designs that I can duplicate onto a cake. She loved her cake. The border is made of smal cake balls. They are her favorite. I was rushed to do them, and would have rather made them more colorful, but just ran out of time.

This was a gift to my cake instructor. I promised I would give her a cake for all the help in my classes.

Double layer chocolate cake with raspberry filling covered with vanilla buttercream. Used royal icing on roses, daisies, and apple blossoms.

This was a last resort cake after my topsy-turvy cake flopped. Frosted and edged with Wilton whipped icing and used fondant for the decorations. The antennae are just floral wire.

My best friend turned 30. She loves flowers. This is all done in MMF. The "dirt" is oreo cookie crumbs. It was a dark chocolate fudge cake, buttercream icing, with a "ding dong" filling.

This was for a little girl's first birthday. The cake matched the plate that the mom gave to me. It is a yellow cake with choc mousse and buttercream icing with fondant decorations. I will post the little girl's smash cake also. Thanks for looking.

This was a cake I did for my husband's monthly birthday cakes at work. The colors were not as dark in person. This was one of my least favorite cakes I've done. My writing was horrible and I did not like my flower vines.

Two tier hodge-podge! Customer called at the last minute and all I had were 2 yellow 9" layers, 1 white 6", and 1 choc. half ball in the freezer and NO time to bake so I made the best of it! The roses had been made earlier in the week as well so it was easy to get it together. All BC frosting, roses done with a Hershey kiss base (boy I love that tip!) and butterflies I had (my last two) were premade (paper covered with glitter & contact paper)

12x18 chocolate cake with all BC icing. This cake was for my soon to be mother in-law and it was a surprise birthday party. She loved it and so did everyone else. My writing needs a lot of work, but I am getting the hang of it. I have never taken a class and after seeing this cake, my fiance's sister asked me to do her daughters birthday cake next. This has just been a hobby of mine since my first child was born. I'm going to take a cake decorating course and hopefully start my own business.

Scratch chocolate cake, chocolate ganache filling, 7 minute frosting. I love the way this frosting smoothes on...but is really not user friendly for making decorations, it just pulls too much....probably would need to switch to buttercream for that....or just use fondant/gumpaste decorations...has a nice, not so sweet flavor.

This Calla Lily Illusion cake was my very first ever Wedding Cake. Special Thanks to CookieGirl for her inspiration. It was my gift to the Bride and Groom. The bottom tier is Chocolate, the middle tier is carrot and the top tier is red velvet. All the tiers are covered with fondant and then stencilled with a thick layer of ivory royal icing to give a 3D effect. Everyone loved it and I was so pleased :)

This was a cake I made for my daughter's birthday party this year. I basically just did a gel transfer from the invitations I used. It doesn't look so hot, but this was the third cake I ended up making the week of her birthday specifically for her birthday so I was really tired of decorating at that point... The girls didn't seem to mind - they ate it anyway. :-)
