I made these cookies for a friend at work for her daughter's baby shower. She told me at the last minute that she wanted her daughter's name on them so I had to improvise with the wafer paper ribbons. They look ok but I was dissappointed that they took away from some of the designs. Thanks for looking!

This is a cake for a baby shower. I made a buttercream with a combination of Italian Meringue and Creme Anglaise. You can find it in The Cake Bible. It takes a bit of work, but pipes wonderfully. The design for this cake was inspired by one of Colette Peters cakes, seen on her website. I used a Wilton Candy mold for the ducks. The bow and ribbons are sugar paste.

2-Tier cake covered in MMF with fondant decorations and trim. Border was a shell border with hand-made fondant buttons over the shell. All decorations were hand-made from fondant and applied to the cake with royal or vanilla.

This is a 10 inch 2 layer yellow cake with white buttercream covered in mmf. I made it for a neighbor's friend's baby shower. I really undercharged her{$25}, but she is a friend. I'll learn one day, then I'll really make some money.

This bib was easier to do, as I did the detail in fast e-motion loops instead of big spaced out loops on the blue bib. The cake is yellow, with almond icing and raspberry filling.

No fail cookies for the nurses where I had my son a week ago. They are 'inspired' by the Wilton book but I think I need to babyfy them a bit more as someone said they look like aprons. My purple icing was perfect consistency - the green was too soft. Next time I'll be closer to perfect!

This was very tiresome with each bootie and bib being individually piped and then trimmed. But everyoe loved it so it makes it worth the while!

The color theme was black and red for this military squadron baby shower. Very simple design. 10" rounds, chocolate with buttercream and lemon with lemon icing.
Sometimes it is nice to have a basic cake, but it would have been fun to do more detail with this.

My take on Collette Peter's Baby Shower Cake. The invitations for the shower were blue and brown, so I used that color scheme on the cake as well. I can see a lot that is wrong with it, but everyone loved it and it sure did taste good. Chocolate cake with buttercream icing.

I made this for a friend, one of the first cakes I had ever made. I ended up with two sizes of round cakes and had to decide what to do, so this worked out well!

Baby bibs for a friend. The ribbon should be deep purple like the violets, but the kids are asleep and I've got to finish up. Next time!

Collette Peters Baby Bib Cake. My fist official cake for someone else. Some of the steps I had not done before, but it turned out O.K. I've learned that other people don't notice all the mistakes, which is a good thing!

I was inspired by many of the clothes line design cakes on this site, but in particular the cake done by susgene. Thank you susgene! The recipient of this cake could really steer a lot of business my way, so I hope she loves it as much as I do! LOL

The loops on this design wore me out pretty quickly, so I feel half of the cake was messy looking. It had it's challenges, but I loved the design that I of course found here on CC. The moms and guests at the baby shower loved both cakes. Chocolate devil's food with almond icing and ganache truffle filling.

Cake decorated with BC frosting. The bib and baby booties are cookies. First time I ever made this design. I realized afterwards that I forgot to have the blanket corners drape down the sides.
