This was made as a "guess the weight of the cake" prize. My mum is in charge of a marching display band, every year each jazz band has to donate a raffle prize etc to help raise funds for the UK federation of jazz bands. Hence my creation, this is a replica of the hat worn as part of a uniform in my mums Jazz band.

I had another design in mind, but after making all my flowers, I realized I didn't make enough for what I needed, hence this traditional Stacked Cake. Good thing they were happy with whatever I would make for them. Coordinated it with their Periwinkle and Royal Blue colors. All flowers were made of Gumpaste.

This was a farewell cake to the Band director at my daughter's high school. Cake is covered in fondant, figure is fondant, back drop is chocolate, sheets of music are rice paper. Pls notice the printed "music" around the sides of the cake. All decorations are edible! No wood or plastic used here.

This one is 3 tiers in the middle.... then stairs going down both sides, leading to a 3 tier/layer Cake.
They wanted the Middle cakes to be WHITE, the ones on one side Chocolate, and the ones on the opposite side Strawberry.
There are white doves with pairs of gold wedding bands in various spots around these cakes!

This is a 1/2 sheet cake.....iced in White , then trimmed in RED....which was almost Impossible for me to get colored RED.... There are little white doves with the double gold wedding rings in all 4 corners and also between the 2 hearts. To get the heart outline you see on top... I just took my smaller heart cake pan, turned it upside down on top of my cake and pressed a little....and it left a perfect heart. I had let my white icing set and crust over first though!

The band is gumpaste and the panels are gumpaste attached to rice paper and then painted by hand with airbrush color.

I used a rubber stamp to make the musical symbols, also using airbrush color as ink. I love painting with airbrush colors. They are so smooth and the color stays consistent.

This for my DD band team Field Commanders 18th b-day. I did some searching, and I THINK the music notes read, Happy Birthday. I can't read music so I'm not sure.

This was for my husband's boss. I guess it's an inside joke. It's a half sheet cake where I used a projector to get the picture onto the cake.

The cake is Vanilla Caramel layered with Butter Pecan with a Caramel Filling and Iced in Buttercream. The ball cap is a Chocolate Cake. The DVD, CD and cap brim are made from Rice Krispie Treats. First time using MMF and put to much buttercream under it on the hat so is uneven, worked well on the CD and DVD, used Food Color Writers to draw.

This is a 24"x13" cake frosted and filled in buttercream and all fondant figures. To give you an idea of the sizes: the guitars and bass are about 5' long and the organ was about 7" long by 5" high. It was for our worship director (on the cake) who is leaving our church. All the instruments are replicas of some of the band members instruments. I'll post seperate pic of the instruments. Thanks for looking.

This is a copy of Duff Goldman's Fist Of Rock Cake, and I did get his permission by email before posting. so, original design by Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes, Baltimore, Maryland.

This is for my son Josh who will be 34 tomorrow and plays lead guitar in a heavy metal band called Low Ki. He is going to love this and I am so happy with the way it turned out.

"Darn good chocolate cake", chocolate syrup frosting, condensed milk caramel filling, and semi sweet chocolate band. It was heavenly. It was my first time trying out the choc. band. I was nervous but when I finally peeled away the wax paper I was like "woohoo! that was easy!"

You can't tell in the photo but this ended up kind of messy...I ended up with pearl and silver dust everywhere. I should have just airbrushed it but worried that the mint or lemon extract would flavor the cake, so tried to blow it from my hand. OOPS. Plus I realize now the fret board should be black, not dark brown. Oh well. Everything is BC except the little tuning dials, and the strings which are spaghetti.

This is a cake we made at work, my boss and I worked together on it. It serves about 140 people. We had the maintenence guy build and paint the stand after we diagrammed it all out. The front drum has a hidden stand so that most of the cake is supported flat, and then there's a little cake underneath the stand. The cymbals are fondant. The logo, we cut it out of paper and airbrushed around it. It did bleed through a little. It was alot of work but we think the customer will be delighted.

Thought of the Top Hat and thought it'd be easy. Well, easy it was.... though still very time consuming. The rim is a 12" Chocolate cake the Top part of the Hat is Chocolate and Yellow cake checkerboard. First attempt. It looked great when they cut it. The band is white fondant with black spray (new- don't like it) and silver flakes. Could have done better with the decorations, though time was short. Thanks for looking.

I did this for a Beatles fan who has an Abby Road poster in her room. I couldn't make the road black because I'd "lose" all the dark suits into the background. It's all buttercream.

I did this cake for the high school band banquet this year. My brothers roped me into doing it and last years band banquet cake...both years no body would cut the cakes....grrrr.... Anywho it is is all cake and butter cream except the orange stars are fondant...They read WE LOVE OUR BAND in the stands. On the front is Go Band and music notes are all around it. This an actual replica of what our football stands somewhat look like...you can't see it but on the back of the cake it has the staircase.

If you don't know who the MisFits are than you won't appreciate this cake. This was made for a guy who obsesses over this band. All buttercream with fondant designs, freehanded all the skull features and Name.

I did this for a friend online for her daughter's first birthday. I got the idea from the web and made it look it a little more girly for her. My friend told me "Sesame Street" theme and this is what I came up with. Red velvet cake with cookies & creamm filling vanillla BC.
