As usual with me, another rushed cake. I must admit, there are 2 things I cannot achieve: making ruffles and roses.

Saw a picture of a cake similar to this one in a older Wilton book. Loved it and decided to try it! Made this to go with three sheetcakes for a huge baby shower!

Four tier baby shower cake for a lady in one of our parish offices that adopted an 18 month old little girl. Bottom tier was 12" round (4" high); white chocolate/almond wedding cake with almond flavor filling, 10" round (3" high) chocolate chip/cherry pound cake, 8" round (4" high) lemon poppy seed with lemon filling, top tier was 6" round (3" high) orange flavor cake with orange flavored filling. All layers were covered with buttercream then MMF over the buttercream icing.

This is a cake that I jsut decorated for a coworker's baby shower. It was decorated to match the baby shower decorations (specifically the napkins) which you will be able to see in the next picture. For the sake of time, we "cheated" by getting a Costco cake that was just frosted with plain white and I took it home and decorated it. It sure made my life easier!

Full sheet, whipped cream topping, (Very hard to decorate with!) My daughter wanted something "Mystic" for her baby shower cake. I found the saying "The two things you should give your child are roots and wings" and loved it, so I incorperated it into the cake. ie: Tree=Roots and Fairy=Wings.

My version of the onesies & booties cake seen here a few times on the site. Thanks for all the inspiration. The snaps on the onesie are fondant cut out with icing tips and painted with lustre dust.

this cake was made for a baby shower.
The mother was expecting a little boy. The mother loved roses and dasies, they were made out of royal icing and the shoes were made out of fondant.

This is my favorite baby shower cake, because I made it for my sisters first born, Joey! The "baby head/O" actually matched the little face on her invitation. It was a very fun challenge and prompted future "3D" works of art. Thanks for looking! Christina

This was supposed to have the 3-d ducky cake on it, but it fell over, smashing half of the cake and the duck, so I just went with this method. I had the duck dowelled through the sheet cake, but there was no way I was transporting it.

I made this cake for a friend of mine that I work with. It's a 12 inch cake and my first attempt at something of substantial size with color flow. The daisys were a little difficult because my hands got hot working with so much royal icing. They were very pleased.

This is the cake (as you can tell) that I did the fondant figures for. This is for a couple in our church. They left the design up to me and they just wanted it to be a "girly gir" cake. You can't really tell from this picture but there is a princess crown in the middle of the cake. The cake itself is White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling and Buttercream Icing.

Easy cake to do! I did this for a baby shower. I did the zigzag motion on each cake square but in different directions. Then I just added the baby accessories.

This is supposed to resemble a quilt. I thought the colors turned out pretty. I used an 11x15 sheet and just added ornaments.

I did two of these for twins' baby shower. I thought they should be honey flavored, but in reality, they were lemon.

The quality of the picture isn't the greatest...I took it w/ my cell phone. This is just a sheet cake with a 6 or 8 in. round on top. I love doing those baby shower cakes!!

This is my take on a baby shower cake with inspiration coming from the dinnerware. It's alternating white and double chocolate cake with buttercream icing and fondant.

Two tiered baby shower cake. Theme for shower was mostly mint and lavendar colors with other pastels. Dragonflys & butterflies on side of top tier. Inspired by other cakes on this site. Thank you!

This shower cake was made for a co-worker's baby shower. The lady that arranged the shower asked me if I would make the cake for the shower, after I agreed she showed me a picture of the cake she wanted... I enjoyed making this one and got lots of compliments at the shower. The cake is a 10 inch bottom teir, 8 inch round and top is 6 inchs.

Babycakes requested this cake for her baby shower because her baby's room was done in bumble bees. She found a cake similar to this one on this website. I made three one layer cakes and added the details. I also made the bumble bees out of fondant and attached them to popcicle sticks. She was very pleased!!

I did this cake once before and forgot to take a picture. It was for a boy. I think I did better on this one. I got the idea from one of the Wilton books. I iced a 12in 2 layer for the bottom, 8in 1-layer for middle and a 6in 1-layer for the top and then the mini bear pan. The baby swings are the mint life savers glued to ribbon and the baby (definitely use glue for this). I placed other items around the rest of the cake. I added a bow for the hair and a pink bottle for her to hold on to.

This is my second attempt at a "professional" cake. The large portion of the cake is chocolate with chocolate pudding in the middle and the small portion of the cake is white cake with vanilla pudding. The frosting is BC. I received many compliments the one that stuck out in my heat the most was "Do you do this for a living?" I was so flattered! My response was... "I would love to, but no"...
