This is the sheet cake that I talked about in the cake disasters area called Green Rivers. It did not do the bleeding until after I had to put it in the freezer (now I know that did not need to) and then brought it back out and it was thawing out.
I work at a computer helpdesk so the cake is supposed to look like a piece of circuit board.

I made this large single layer sheet cake for a going away cake for my husband's work. It is 2 different flavors on each side. One is chocolate chip cake and the other is bride's white cake- both recipes are from the cake mix doctor. The 'w', 'y', and 'b' are made to look like how the company logo is, the 'w' is the part of the company logo. My husband's work requested a cake from me instead of having to get a store bought cake. :)

My boss was retiring and my depy asked if I could do a cake. He is a HUGE Star Trek nut (as am I:)) so I came up with a simple yet masculine cake for him. The symbol is a Star Trek symbol with the state of VA in the center. Everybody loved it!

All buttercream, chocolate cake with vanilla pudding between the layers. I free-handed the methodist emblem... probably should have gone with a piping gel transfer, the flames aren't quite right. 9x9 cake, served 11 people easily.

This was a cake made for someone at my work who was moving to another state. I had everyone sign two pieces of paper and copied them onto edible paper. Drizzled light blue chocolate on the sides and air brushed sides. I added ribbon curls to the cake.

I was asked to make this for my ex-boss at a company I worked at 2 years ago. I was invited to his going away party. Bottom layer chocolate fudge. Top was white. All buttercream with fondant cutout edible images. I made the company truck and used pictues from the website around the cake.

thanks to tatania199 for the inspiration...This is only the second cake that I have done by myself! I made some mmf and it worked pretty well, but made the mistake of putting it in the fridge. A little sticky now, but still not too bad I think :) I don't know how to make my cake smooth underneath the fondant! so lumpy and sticky!

I had yet another order for one of these cakes. This was for one of my hubby's co-workers. Chocolate/chocolate chip tiers (10" & 8" rounds) with buttercream icing. The lady's body parts, the tombstone and the letters are made of gumpaste.
Thanks for looking!

This cake was for a co-worker who is Indian for her last day. These are henna inspired designs. I downloaded a free book off of the internet for pattern ideas. She really liked it. It was white cake, buttercream frosting, and the detail work was chocolate buttercream frosting.

This is my first time trying this design. My MMF was a bit thick and maybe a little dry, but it's on the cake and that's all that matters! I didn't have anything to color the cake and being overseas, they don't have anything locally. I had to improvise and buy that spray can stuff at the grocery store so I didn't get the depth of color I wanted. But hopefully my friend who is getting deployed will like it. Helpful criticism WELCOMED. Thanks.

This cake was inspired by DianeLM's toolbox cake. II changed a few things. This was SOOO hard! Next time I'll add some structural things to make the cake stay together better. Thanks for the idea DianeLM.
This was for a guy who works in maintenance that is leaving my husband's company.
