This is a vanilla strawberry cake. Frosting is homemade buttercream. For the outline and black, I used store bought chocolate frosting and tinted it black with foodcolor. I used tip 1, 2 and 3. Gun and stars are painted with lusterdust

This is a 1/4 sheet cake. 1/2 white/1/2 chocolate with whipped topping. I hand drew the picture then transferred it onto the cake with a kopykake frosting sheet, then filled with gels. I did the camaflague free hand with the gels also. (It took a while). I made this for my girlfriends husband who is a veteran and WWII collector.

I made this cake for my 19-year-old brother who's in the army. In 2 weeks he will be going over seas to Iraq for 18-24 months. It's chocolate with cookies 'n cream filling. It was very fun to make! The fondant is meant to look camouflage.

This was also last minute, although I had more than 6 hours to complete it! A friend had a going away party for her son who was going into the army, and this is what she wanted. This was my first attempt at camo! The heat took it's toll on it as it took about an hour and a half drive in 90 + degree weather!! It is a yellow cake with buttercream all around!

The final product on my nephew's 6th birthday cake. He's such a typical boy, loving anything to do with guns & army & police, so I thought I would surprise him with a military inspired cake. Yellow cake, chocolate buttercream. I used a cupcake to make the hill, oreo crumbs to make the road, blue tinted piping gel for the water & a frosting covered pretzel rod to make the log.

I made this cake for the farewell party for my husbands unit when they went to Afghanistan. It's a full sheet cake. This is not a BCT. This was done by copying with piping gel, flipping it over onto cake and filling it in. I have since discoverd BCT. This was one of the first cakes that I did. I have been doing cakes for about a year now. Cakecentral gives me so many ideas. THANKS

This cake was kinda a pain! The FBCT of the COL rank made my hands hurt since it was so detailed! But it turned out ok and the hubby who ordered it thought it was perfect!

This is a picture of my son Ethan's 6th birthday cake. We had an army theme, so I thought it would be fun to make my own cake. I bought a pack of soldier at Wal-Mart for 2 dollars to decorate the cake. I used crushed graham crackers for the dirt. It was really fun to make.

Fondant flag, edible image on buttercream. Many thanks to all of those that have posted cakes with the flag draping and dog tags! The customer was moved by the cake, she said the young man's mom was in tears and he was very proud of his cake. These type of cakes give me chills being so patriotic, knowing what these people give unselfishly defending our country! My thanks to them and their families for lending them to serve!
