This cake was made for a 3yr old boy celebrating his birthday on the 4th of July. The bear was baked in the stand up bear pan and was placed on a star cake with cupcake accents. The bear's hat and bowtie were made of fondant.

this was my first time using fondant. It was really just a quickie cake. The ice cream cones around it were supposed to be microphones. The shimmer dust on them didn't work to well.

This is the second cake I made for a General's retirement ceremony. the bottome was 12" round and then 10" round for the top. All Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting. The gazebo was made using royal icing for the roof and sides, gumpaste for the stars and swags. Royal icing for the piping and strings. The stars are painted with gold luster dust. This one was fun to make!

I made this for my niece, who is having an American Idol karaoke party. I copied the basic design from a napkin from Birthday Express. It is all buttercream, except for the logo, which is royal icing, and the black, which is tinted chocolate icing. I am pleased with it, even though the color weren't exactly what I was going for.

This cake describes the reflections of a man. This 65 year old's birthday cake reflects an African American film historian and Black Panther from the 70's era all rolled up in one. He has served as a positive role model for many. The name "James" is done in white chocolate and brushed with gold luster dust. Thanks for looking.

This cake was two layers thick, one layer choco and the other french vanilla. It is a half sheet cake made with bc. This was made for a potluck at work on Memorial Day but I think it would work for 4th of July or Patriot Day also.

This was two 9x13 cakes "overlapped" to make a 3-D wave of the flag. It also served as a belated birthday cake for two motorcycle riders. So, I incorporated the "freedom" theme with the bikes on the open road across the flag. The road had to bridge the wave of the flag, so I did that, too!

This was for my God Daughter's bday. We got her tickets to the concert which explains the "Here We Come!" on the cake. I put Happy Birthday Ashli on the front of the cake and Taylor Hicks name on the back really big, then along the rest of the sides I listed the other names of the top 10 that will be at the concert. She loved it and she can't wait til we go! :o)

This cake is iced smooth in buttercream icing. This cake was for my friend's daughter. It was her 7th birthday. So, I made her contestant number her date of birth. My friend also printed out "contestant sheets" for all of the kids to wear that had their own birthdates on them.

This cake is for my friend's DD, who has the American Girl doll "Jess". She wanted her bday cake to have Jess and her pet monkey on it. I've included a pic of the doll so you can see what I'm talking about. The sides of the cake are airbrushed to resemble the tie-dye pattern of the doll's dress. The top of the cake is a big FBCT, with BC leaves and border added.

This is a sugar cookie made for a little boy participating in the Make-a-Wish Foundation. His wish was to be President of the U.S. for a day. One of his "jobs" was to visit my agency, so I made this cookie to welcome him when he had lunch with us. The cookie was a hit.... everyone loved it.
