My Mother and Father's 60th Wedding anniversary cakes. Side cakes were topped with fresh grapes. The center heart shape cake (my Mom's favorite) was topped with artifical flowers.

This is a fruit cake covered in fondant with build up royal icing. The flowers are made out of flowerpaste. This cake really looked effective but was very time consuming. I think the flowers on the top should have been smaller.

Ultimate Butter Cake Recipe by Sarah Phillips (Baking 9-1-1). Frosting is Choc. Almond BC by LisaMS of CC (my inspiration for this cake). This would have been my 1st paid cake, but I just didn't feel comfortable charging when I have so little experience. The deer outline actually came about by mistake! I was trying to acheive something different with the outline; I discovered I couldn't when the chocolate came off my paper & stayed on the cake! I just left it there! LOL!!

This is my very first fondant cake. I thought it turned out ok, except it was supposed to be red, not pink. Oh, well.

This is a vanilla cake with fresh strawberry filling and whipped BC icing. The monogram is fondant with Royal piped on and lustre dust. The topper is Royal with luster dust painted on. I was SO nervous putting this cake up with an audience!!!

Cake for my step-father's 60th Birthday. All but headboard and footboard are rolled fondant. Coffee can is cake. Marbles and can are dusted in shimmer dust to look like frost from freezer. (The story behind this is that my step-father used to threaten to dump frozen marbles into the bed if we were sleeping late. He'd walk down the hallway shaking them in a coffee can. If you can imagine, frozen marbles will seek the lowest point in the bed, which is where you're laying...and they don't ever melt!)

This cake was ordered for a birthday party given at a local hotel. The color shceme was white, aqua and burgundy...I bet you are wondering where is the burgundy? This full sheet cake and numbers were all red velvet cake. Everyone at the party had red teeth. The lady's grand kids loved it.

This was made for my boss's 60th birthday -- inspired by an old Wilton yearbook (can't remember which year). It is an 11x15 chocolate sheet cake and the 6" round cake is yellow cake. All buttercream. Wilton candles.

I decorated this cake for a friend of mines mother. She made the cake and frosting and I did the rest. By the way, I will never do that again. I almost lost the cakes to the hungary floorboard 4-5 times. Anyway, royal icing drop flowers on Cream Cheese icing w/ chocolate top cake and pumpkin bottom cake. Also, all the decorations were royal. Thanks for looking!!

60th bday cake. BC for icing. I don't like fondant so I used non-toxic wondermold for figurine. Attached with a stick and used wax paper to separate it from cake

The is for a woman's 60th. Her friends didn't want an over the hill theme... they wanted to remind her of how young she still is. Chocolate transfer on top, gumpaste bloosoms on th e sides.
Not my best work!

This was done in all buttercream for my uncle's 60th birthday. My aunt threw him a surprise party and had a sign out in the front yard that said "Holy Cow, Jerry's 60" and there were 60 cows in the yard. I made the cake to go with the theme.

This cake was a last minute decison by my customer and ordered a day in advance. Luckily Mom helped me by making all the buttercream roses. It is a Fr Van, 12 and 8 inch tiered cake. I freehanded white buttercream scrolls all over the cake and then placed the roses and leaves. The customer requested the colors of pink, lavendar and blue. So I made a blue bow for the topper and lavendar white chocolate butterflies, and "60" (coated in clear sugar crystals) as accents. They were thrilled with the cake :D

Chocolate buttercream with silver and white accents of fondant pearls, RI stars, and dragees. I made this for my friends mom for her 60th birthday. I still need a bit of practice with my buttercream roses, but it will be better next time. Thanks for looking!
