This cake was made for a 3yr old boy celebrating his birthday on the 4th of July. The bear was baked in the stand up bear pan and was placed on a star cake with cupcake accents. The bear's hat and bowtie were made of fondant.

Basketweave isn't just for easter and wedding cakes! I used it to create a fun and colorful patriotic cake. The cake and roses are done in buttercream. I used the spatula striping technique for the roses and wilton's firework cupcake pics to add some sparkle.

6" square middle cake with fondant stars on cookie sticks and bow, surrounded by alternating white and chocolate cupcakes iced and bordered and decorated with fondant stars and flag pics. I made this for a 4th of July celebration at a family get-together a couple years ago, and it was a big hit. :o)

I bought the checkered board pan and this was a great reason to test it out! I was short on time so it didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to (it never does!!) It is White cake Buttercream icing under MMF. Fireworks on top BC, Fireworks on sides MMF.

When I think of Independence Day, I think of all of the picnics and family gatherings! This is a 4th of July picnic scene, with a marshmallow fondant tablecloth, lemonade, watermelon, and apple pie!

My 2nd fondant cake. I auctioned it off and made about $15! It was a humid day and by the end of it, almost all the royal icing stars had fallen off! It was a lot of fun to make.

This cake was two layers thick, one layer choco and the other french vanilla. It is a half sheet cake made with bc. This was made for a potluck at work on Memorial Day but I think it would work for 4th of July or Patriot Day also.

This was actually my first tiered cake. I made it last year for a 4th of July party. I can see soooo many mistakes. I'm looking forward to making a new one this year! Hopefully, I will be able to see some improvement! Thanks for looking!

No fail cookie recipe with royal icing. These are the cookies that I will be selling at my office along with the Declaration of Independence Cookies. My office has about 400 people and my cookies always sell like hotcakes when I bring them in. Good way to make some extra money. Isn't it funny how when you post your cookie photos it never looks as good as when you see them sitting in your kitchen? Hmmm?

I had thought up this cake after taking course 1, and it came out even better than I had imagined. I really wanted to do something different and since I love the 4th of July (especially the colors), this is the end result. My instructor was so great and really helpful; she let us just run with our imaginations.

This was for a 60th (diamond) anniversary & 4th of July party. All of the different branches of the family were wearing shirts from the different colors of the rainbow. Hence, the 60, the diamond, the flag, and the little people wearing different colored shirts....
