I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday!! She loves flowers, it was my first time making gumpaste flowers, it was tons of fun. The cake is just a pound cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. I used crushed oreos for the dirt and fondant for the outside of the flower pot. The butterfly is not edible though, just a store bought silk butterfly.

This was supposed to be a birthday cake for my son, a helicopter mechanic,,turned into a disaster when the helicopter part "crashed", breaking off the tail router, the skids & leaving cracked windows & dents on both sides. It ended up just sitting on the helipad with me in tears. Have a good laugh now though!

This is my first 3D cake. At first it looked like a Koala thena Racoon and then a Panda. It was a funny process for the bear. I guess I will keep practicing. For now I think this one is cute.

Carved the Cake from a Wilton Cruiser Cake Pan and finished in faux fondant. All other decorations are made from sugar clay. I thought it turned out quite okay.

This a bc cake with a rice crsipi head and covered in fondant. I had a hard time with this cake, my head was too heavy and sunk into my cake wich it made it look like a fat baby and worked just find at the end! I also got sick in the middle of the making the cake so I had to use gloves and a mask, that wasnt fun! At the end it all turned out well. Thank you to all the ladies who helped me!

Thanks A TON to thecakemaker!! I baked a 10'' cake and used the soccer ball cake pan (the one that is just half of it by Wilton) and torted it. The "brim" of the hat is cardboard covered in fondant and the bronze helmet patch/shield holder is fondant w/ Tylos covering card stock paper. The shield is fondant mixed w/ tylos to make it hard. We had the local FD over to celebrate w/ ou bday boy and they LOVED it!! I loved making this cake and I don't say that often about a cake. Enjoy the pictures!

BC icing with a yellow cake. The tree is covered with plastic wrap, but it was a column covered in brown icing. The leaves are not edible. The names are on Wilton roll-out cookies with poured icing and BC icing names.

I made this for my 5 year old grandson's birthday. He had to have the race track and McQueen so I put Mcqueen on a pedestal in the center of the track. I used a combination of fondant, buttercream icing and royal icing to make these cakes. The small cars used in this were presents to the birthday boy when the day was done.

Did this cake for a friend's stepmom. She is a big dog lover so they wanted something "doggie"! The ends are 9" cheesecake topped with raspberry filling, topped with vanilla white cake. The center of the bone is all white cake/raspberry filling. Cream cheese buttercream. This cake needed to serve 50 or so guests. Thanks!

I made this, by special request, for a friend's birthday. I got the idea from a picture of a lady's cake on this site. It is the Lord of the Rings Hobbit house. I made a half sphere cake and put that on top of a sheet cake and covered it w/BC. The windows, doors, and chimney are fondant. The chimney has a silver candle in it. The flower pot is fondant w/a royal icing flower and Oreo dirt. I luster dusted the door handle and hinge. I brushed the "stones" w/powdered sugar to make them less shiney.

I just turned golden this June. I thought my cake should best describe me---cake artist, bold and whimsical, free-spirited, different and funny. Everything is edible and made of fondant and gumpaste, except for the "kitchen-aid" mixer, which was carved from styro then covered with fondant. This cake came with a cupcake tower which I will post separately.
