Since I live out west here, I have lumpy sugar and need to sift (by the way great tip Cali4dawn - sifted multiple times and had much better luck w/ buttercream). My question is, does anyone have suggestions about sifting large batches of sugar. Can I do a bunch ahead of time and store it? What would you store it in? Any can anyone tell me how to keep the static down when sifting? icon_confused.gif Thanks again for any suggestions. Kate

Get you a large mesh metal strainer I know they have a name and I cant think of it right now .. But its the ones that have the strainer that looks like a basket you can use that and they work great for sifting...

I dont sift my sugar just put it in the mixer and let it go...

The other thing I have read is that you can put it in your mixed and turn it on low for a few and that will help also... But like I said there is NO need that sift...
