Last time I tried to carve a cake it was a DISASTER!!! So, this time I want to do something simple but I need very detailed instructions and possibly some hand holding. This one is for a customer so I need it to be nice.

I want to carve 2 round cakes so that the top is wider than the bottom (of each cake) to give it a more whimsical type look. Does that make any sense? Thanks for any help you can give.
