I am doing a elmo cake for saturday its going to have fondant decoations on it. is it too early to make them im going to be doing abc's and 123's and fish and stars. its 3 layer madd hatter cake. if i do cut them out now do i let them lay flat or should i put them on a flower former???? any help is appreciated.

It's not to early to make them as long as you don't mind if they harden. As far as how to dry them that's totally up to you. If you want them to be flat on your cake then lay them out on a piece of parchment paper. If you want there edges to curl up a little put them on the flower former.

I dont know much about the fondant, but I think it would be ok to start, I know this is late, My Friend Leslie does a Lot of Fondant work, her name is Missmersh pm her, she could help you. =0)
