This for a woman turning 40 who cheered in college. Her husband is giving her a surprise party and he want a cheerleader cake in the school colors ( Black, red, white). It needs to feed 75 and I don't want to do a doll cake. Any ideas on how to do pom poms? or any ideas for the cake. I would like it to be fun and whimisical too. Thanks in advance.... you all are awesome!

I know I have seen a bunch of cheerleader cakes on here. I think you could do pom poms with the pull out grass tip. I can look up the number if you would like.

Here is another one I have suggested before because I just think it's so cute. You could put the emblem mascot on her shirt with a transfer.

Oh sure! Anytime.

I think I've mentioned this before but my DH is from KC and his grandmother and grandfather (they're divorced) live in L.S. and his parents graduated from L.S.H.S.

Anyway, can't wait to see how your cake comes out. Love the Hollywood one.

ok.... i just added it to the gallery. Thanks for all of your help. What would you charge for something like this? i charged $50 and he paid me $60 which made me feel bad... but that was nice of him. It was to feed 75, and he ended up having sooo much cake left over. I make myself sick just worrying about every little detail. i know I made exactly what he asked for, but I still feel bad he bought more cake than he needed. I know I just need to let it go! I got lots of compliments and people taking my card.

Sorry I didn't see this post or I would have answered sooner!! I do worry about the cakes!! From the minute I get the order to the minute I hear from them again!! As far as him having too much cake, that one is a hard one. You pretty much have to give them what they ask for and as long as you explained how much cake he would be getting, that's about all you can do. Maybe he wanted a bigger cake to make an impression and to use as a center piece. You cake looks too cute by the way.

Thank you! They loved the cake, so I am happy. I just get so sick of worrying about if I am pricing the cake fair, did they like it, what if something happens to it, blah blah blah! I am a worry wart!
Thanks again!

I did not see your cake in the galleries! I was looking for something representing cheerleaders in the lastest uploads, and couldn't find it. Did something happen to your upload or am I just overlooking it. I have been waiting to see what you came up with since your first post about ideas. I am sure it was beautiful though.

I can't figure out how to download it here. Look under sports themed cakes in the gallery. I just checked your website out..... it looks awesome!
Thanks again!

I found it! That looks great! I love the fondant cheerleaders. They look like they could jump right off of the cake!

Great job on your cake.

As for them having to much cake, we can only give a close count in servings. Alot of people that you count in the servings don't even eat or want cake.

Sometimes, I have found myself undercharging and sometimes maybe overcharging...especially on the round cakes after I have finished.
