Bring the one everybody else does, cause is the one that everybody else likes, you dont want to louse the more traditional client(witch are a A LOT) then do something with chocolate fudge very different

i think the traditional and I voted for green tea. Only thing is that trying to find a complimentary flavor with green tea. Lemongrass and honey or something. I dunno. Even more a zen like cake to match the flavor would be cool.

I made a big mistake trying to be different one year. They will want to compare your flavor to the other cakers flavors.

If you need at least 2 flavors, do one traditional, yellow/pound, etc. and do one that is different, but not way out there, maybe your amaretto or something just different enough to make them say hey, that was good, like an apricot nectar cake with apricot frosting for filling.

Stick with tradition and maybe take another not-so-traditional flavor? That way you'll not only beat everyone else out for the traditional flavors because your's will be the best but also get some clients to want to see what else you offer because of the "exotic" flavor you sampled. Those who don't want to be "traditional" will also get to book you.

2 Traditional and 1 Not-so Traditional

I do tasting at my shop twice a week, always give some new flavor, very out there, and the traditional one, about 98% of the time I get orders for traditional, Its what people wants, and if you want to get business you have to give them what they want. Have a flyer name other options, to let them know you can go beyond

The strawberry/champagne sounds delicious. Do you have a recipe to share? I, too, like the idea of a traditional and a non-traditional sample.
