what is the best icing to use to do scrollwork on the sides of a cake? It will be black scrollwork on white BC (no room for errors)!!

BC, RI, should I add piping gel to either? Or something else?

TIA,

I have used a medium black bc before to do scroll on a white bc with no problems. It turned out very classy and the person was thrilled. I would used the bc because of its flavor over the royal. Good luck, it will turn out just fine.

When I do scroll work, I use butter cream with some piping gel or corn syrup so that the icing comes out smooth and not rough looking. I also add one or the other to do writing thumbs_up.gif
