I asked many people for advice on what type of cake to make for Hispanic Heritage month. Well that is this week and I've decided to do an outline of each country in 21 squares with the US in the middle. No problem, I hope. Well, I look at my calendar and realized I also have to make a Captain Caveman cake for Friday evening for a promotion party and a Camoflauge barbie for a sweet 16 BOY (mom keeps teasing him) plus a small round decorated red, white and blue. That is for Saturday. Then for Sunday, I have to make a lego cake for another boy!

Plus I have a wine tasting party which I am hosting at my house on Saturday that I need to get ready. Ugh!!!

My husband keeps telling me to just say NO. It is hard for me to turn down friends. And no, I'm not getting paid for any of them. They are gifts from me to them. Beats trying to figure out what to get someone.

Sorry, just venting. Thanks for listening.

Hi, Lisa!! It sounds like you have a lot going on this week!! Don't worry about venting. I think you have to or you may explode on us!I know what you mean when you can't say no to people. But for goodness sake, let this week be a lesson for ya! You have to take a break for yourself sometimes. I wish that I was able to come and help you. But I have to work all week. I know that you can mange all of this! You have an excellant sense of time management. Just take a deep breath and get started on everything slowly but surely. I mean you have at least done the icing, right? Take care, sweetie. I know that you can do it!

Tanya, thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I wish I had already done the icing. My neighbor/friend offerred to help me do the icing colors for the cake on Thursday. That will be a big help. I wish you could come over, then I would have someone to keep me in line. icon_smile.gif

Did I mention I am also taking a course, Business Law. It is pretty interesting, but it all just started so this week is crazy!!! It is 9:20 pm and I still have homework to do plus bake the cakes to decorate tomorrow.

Hope all is well on your end. We are planning to visit Graf area again in a couple of weeks. Have to go order my schrunk. icon_biggrin.gif

Lisa, you have so much going on! I am glad that your neighbor can help with the icing at least. Just take it all in stride, don't rush! I know that things will be fine. I think that I am more concerned that you might burn yourself out on everything!! It will be good to see you all down here again.A shrunk, I am so jealous!!! BTW, I work as a cashier now. I had to give up the deli thing. It was driving me nuts!!!! But I want to see pics of everything you make this week. I know that they will be beautiful creations, because I have seen what you can do. Try to fit in some rest time, okay? Talk to you later.
