What do you use for flowers on your cakes? Do you use silk, real, gumpaste, royal, bc? Do you make your own? This is something I want to start doing, but nobody around here teaches classes and I'm a little overwhelmed to try to learn it myself. I know I could do it, but as a single mom, not sure I have the time (or patience). I'm thinking I might just go online and buy some ready-made gumpaste flowers...or just stick with silk.

Hi Samantha,

I have trouble with flowers...can't make a pansy to save my life. icon_cry.gif

If you can find videos on cake decorating do so, I learn better watching than reading and most of them are really good.

Brought all of mine from e-bay at great prices.

I mostly do royal icing and fondant flowers.
