I seen this idea in the gallery and loved it. My daughter plays soccer and says she would rather have an individual cake rather than a sheet cake. I am new at cake decorating and I am not sure what I should charge to make these soccer ball cakes for each child. Any suggestions???

I was not able to download my pic on this forum, but the cake is in my "photos" .

Hi,
I am kind of confused. Are you making the cakes for your daughter? Or is there a mother of another girl on your daughter's soccer team that would like for you to make cakes? I guess I just don't know what you mean when you say "How much do I charge" cause if you are doing them for your daughter's party...then you couldn't charge anyone. However, if there is a central person that is picking up the tab for the party (say the coach or someone), that I could understand.

I would probably charge the same price as you would cupcakes...or maybe a little more depending on how big the cakes are.

This is just my thought.

I guess I wasn't real clear. I actually have another friend who would like to purchase these from me for their soccer party. I just wasn't sure what to charge. Also, for my daughter's party, we all usually pitch in for the cost of a cake and I just thought I would have each parent cover the cost of each cake for their own child, not so much for my time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Hey Make it,

Have you thought about doing the Ice Cream Cone Cup Cakes then decorate them like Soccer balls on the tops ? this way you get as many cones as kids you can always do extras and if you wanted and just make them look like Ice Cream twisted, Striping your bag with Black or what ever other color & using a huge tip ? I think it would be really Cool. and Something totally Different, I take the cardboard from the wal mart mini cokes and flip them upside down, cut out circles and cover it with white freezer paper to hold the cones it works great .
Pricing~I guess you would have to be sure what you are going to make before I would actually be able to help with a price. sorry.

Hope this helps.

SweetCreations,

Thank you for the cute idea. Have you done something like that before? If so, do you have any pics? I would love to see what that looks like.
