Here lately I've gotten a few requests for Key Lime Pie. I have about 20 different recipes..slight variations...but none jump out and scream "Make Me". Just wondering if anyone makes these and woud be willing to share your recipe. I have a friend that is in Florida and bringing me home a case of real Key Limes, so I 'd like to make authenic Key Lime Pie! Don't know how many replies I'll get, if any, but thanks in advance! thumbs_up.gif

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this post. I still have been playing catch up from when I was too sick to get online. Here is the recipe that I have that my sister-in-law absolutely loves:

1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs 1 can(14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. fresh key lime juice
1/4 c. finely chopped almonds 2 tsp. grated lime rind
4 tbsp. melted butter
6 egg yolks

Preheat oven to 375. Combine crumbs, sugar, almonds, and butter in a bowl. Blend well. Use the mixture to line the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Reduce heat to 350. Beat yolks and stir in condensed milk. Add lime juice and rind. Mix until blended. Pour filling into crust. Bake 15 minutes. Let cool and spread top with layer of whipped cream. Serves 6-8.
