I decorate my cookies in buttercream but want to do some accents in royal or something else. These will be mailed to someone and they may need to freeze them prior to use. I have had no problem with freezing the cookie with buttercream but have not frozen any with royal or any other icing? Can it be frozen after it has been piped on my cookie or is there something else I can use that can be frozen?

Thanks!

I don't know that you can't freeze royal icing. However, when you take it out, the condensation will soften the royal decorations. And if it's strongly colored, it may bleed. So if that might be an issue, I wouldn't freeze it.

Good luck....
