Could someone please tell me what I can substitute. I am making a choolate cake and it calls for 1/3 cup oil. I forgot to get it at the store, is there anything I can substitute. I really dont want to mess the taste of this cake.

I believe that you can substitute butter for the oil!
I have also heard that applesause works too - low cholesterol recipe!

I have also heard that you can substittute mayonaisse in chocolate cake, and it turns out great.
